    When Stephen Harper was PM, the Star complained about his opposition to “barbaric cultural practices” amid charges of racism. Now that he isn’t, all of a sudden the Star objects to them too.
    The progressives’ hypocrisy knows no bounds. But then again, hypocrisy is the left’s modus operandi.

    What is interesting is a stupid beer drinking song was likely the source of the Hitler one ball story. Early versions of the song had Goering with one ball as he had been shot in the nuttal area during the Beer Hall Putsch. It was such a gem that it was later transferred to Hitler. There is other evidence of mixed veracity indicating a possible loss in WWI but a cynic might likely write it off as political revisionism.

  15. In the movie The Bridge on the River Kwai, a group of British POWs walk into the prison camp whistling the Colonel Bogey March. According to a story that I heard, the plan was to have them sing the lyrics you mentioned. However, in order to keep the movie suitable for younger viewers (the movie was made in 1957, so the film studios still exercised some restraint), it was decided that whistling the tune would suffice.

  18. Interesting that South America is having absolute record lows and France is having a crop failure from the cold and we have went 12 years without a class 3 hurricane hitting the US coast. Hurricanes are caused by warm seas. Hell it finally got dry enough last week for my brother to work under his 2016 barley crop that he couldn’t combine. In another 6 months they will be announcing that 2017 had record high temperatures. They must be just about running out of downward adjustments of historical data to maintain an upward trend. And they must be running out of arbitrary adjustments to temperatures where there are no permanent weather stations like at sea and extrapolations where stations are few and far between.
