Why Donald Trump No Longer Needs the Media

But what is doubly precious is the MSM’s ignorance is only outdone by their arrogance as think they’re still relevant or needed in today’s world. The truth is with the internet, YouTube, blogs, and social media, they’re obsolete. Just like authors today do not need east coast publishing houses, or artists of today don’t need record labels, President Trump, or any president in the future, does not need a “White House Press Corps.”

  1. This was done 6 posts down earlier today.
Unless this post is about you.(again)
In which case we just can’t get enough of you./

  2. That indeed should be the correct spelling. To the main point, he may not need them, but they need him. Stephen Harper demonstrated this in Canada for 10 years.

  3. I wouldn’t go so far as to say the MSM is irrelevant. But they are on a rapidly declining trajectory. They need to be more professional and less politically correct.
It will be interesting how trump deals with the White House press corps – and who appoints as press secretary will tell a lot about which way that will be.

  4. Press secretary – Milo Yiannopoulos. Who else? Entertainment value would be wonderful. Mind you he works for the anti-Semitic Jews at Breitbart. The mainstream media would be fouling themselves.

  5. Available all over the net today is the real story of why HC didn’t appear Tue night to concede; she embarked on an obscenity filled tirade, throwing articles at staff and suffering such a meltdown that she couldn’t be allowed anywhere
near a camera.(Check Breitbart). OK, Google in rage, Clinton… and see how many national major papers, networks are reporting this. All of them had reporters hanging around Democrat head quarters Tue, for the celebration, wouldn’t some of them be able to follow up leads?
Much easier to write a story and headline Trump Dines Out With Family.
This is why mainline media is so mistrusted and so irrelevant.

    FIFY
And yes, he would be wonderful, even as a deputy press secretary!
Someone else suggested that Trump could broadcast the press conferences as pay-per-view and make some serious money.

  7. I looked it up.
    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/11/15/hillary-clinton-screaming-obscenities-and-throwing-objects-in-election-night-meltdown/
She and her drones spent the election making claims about the irrationality of Donald Trump.
Did we really want a shrieking, unstable, crockery-tossing harridan having her finger on the four-minute button?
    Perhaps not.
Just possibly, enough American voters were wiser in understanding character than ALL the media, ALL the pundits, ALL the Hollywood trollops, ALL the special interests and ALL the left pseudo-intelligentsia.

  8. scar – I’m thinking Ann Coulter would be a great press secretary. She has an encyclopedic memory, a sharp tongue and doesn’t back down.

  9. Seriously, the press secretary should be someone so unimportant, a person who truly knows nothing and likes it that way. And every time the NPAPSS ask a question, the non-answer will trigger them. Narrative Pushing And Protecting Schutzstaffel. My personal acronym for them. Press secretary who simply gives a random quote from an 80s TV show regardless of the question. Let the press know their importance. Let them experience the breeze they sowed; GOOD AND HARD.

  10. Didn’t The Cons under Harper do this?
The Media Party hated Harper for this and did everything to discredit him and the policies set forth.
The media Party was the main reason that the LIEberals, under tRUDEau, won the election – except for most of Western Canada and a few riddings in Ontario and Quebec.
Seems that Trump is following Harper on this one.

  11. “Watters” world (O’Reilly) for press sec.. He can ask the press the questions….
I think NYC media will take the biggest hit..The Network anti-trust violations should end ABC & NBC…The New Press core needs to represent all of America, from all of America….Screw NYC & LA

  12. “…did everything to discredit him and the policies set forth …”
Can you think they wouldn’t do that anyway?
