Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

If a group of monkeys, suffering from some mental illness, get a 747 off the ground … does this prove anything?
When you find corn kernels in sh*t from a Toronto resident – it doesn’t make them a corn farmer.
The Muzzies who are creating massive turbulence in our civilized society … are all mentally ill ? They have all checked themselves into the asylum called Islam, and are creating lots of turbulence. Yeah … mentally ill Muzlems …
That was a very uplifting bit of film, I must say. Van Gogh, gripped by mental disruption, was nonetheless able to perceive a very profound truth about how things are in the universe, and portray it on canvas.
I have always liked Starry Night, and knowing this makes the painting even more beautiful now.
Heinlein once wrote (to paraphrase) that you could put a super-genius savage in an atomic labratory and all he could learn would be which doors led to what rooms, because he doesn’t know enough to ask the right questions… If we accept the idea that monkeys would never get a 747 off the ground, given the number of complicated things that have to be done in a specific order to a tight schedule, we also have to try to imagine what we supposedly un-savage, smart guys don’t know, because we don’t know what to ask.
