The Obama regime and–I hope not, but the probability is at least 1/2–if worse comes to worst the Clinton Reich, will use this as an opportunity to (1) confiscate guns and restrict their sale (and that of ammunition), (2) tar conservative political groups with the terrorist brush (after all, aren’t they really just like ISIS under the skin?), (3) clamp down–more–on fundamental freedoms (in the name of national security and public safety, of course).

  8. By chance had the TV on when the first news appeared. The description “domestic terror” sent me to the net, where it quickly was established just who was responsible. I then juxtaposed CBC with CNN and watched as the CBC reporters twisted themselves into knots to avoid giving the terrorists’s name; when all the while it was displayed on the CNN screen. This went on for several minutes, CBC prattling on with no real information until an upcoming news conference forced them to reveal the shooter’s name.
    I didn’t wait for the “lone wolf” analysis but I am sure it is forthcoming; and Ralph Goodale expressed his regret. $1.3B doesn’t buy much in terms of solid reporting these days.

Whether it is a ‘lone wolf’ or a co-ordinated attack (there may have been additional shooters in a car close by) remains to be seen but, big but, it is an indication that we, the West, have lost the war without a shot being fired by our side. A minuscule portion of the population have changed the way of life that most of us have grown up with. The Liberal/Democrat/PC crowd have emasculated and eviscerated the only society that had advanced human endeavour as much as we had in the history of mankind. Their pontificating and ideologies have lost us the war. Our future leaders cry for ‘safe spaces’ in our universities, they dictate what must be taught, and demand participation diplomas. The Obamas, Camerons, Sarkozys, Clintons, and Trudeaus have led the way, closely followed by the likes of the Bushes, Blairs, Majors, and Harpers (because they didn’t want to appear too right wing, less they be shamed by the PC crowd). We are now at the point in history when we need a leader, somewhere in the West, that can call a spade a spade, and act accordingly. Unfortunately the horizon is bare and distant.
