  1. there is a better summary of all this here:
    http://www.scmp.com/comment/blogs/article/1883085/immigration-mega-fraud-rich-chinese-immigrants-canada-who-dont-really
What’s most interesting about this is that the Chinese men feel coming to Canada is “immigration jail”.
Another part that isn’t mentioned is this. We also hear in BC how Canada’s poorest postal code is in the Downtown East side of Vancouver. What doesn’t get mentioned is that B.C.’s second poorest area code is in a weathly neighbourhood of Richmond. The men are all at home in China making money and not paying much tax, if any, while their family attends school, free medical, etc.

  2. D’ya think the cozy relationship between Candidate Justin Trudeau and the Chinese Connection will automatically transfer to Prime minister Justin Trudeau?1135

  3. Interesting. I sold my previous house to a chinese mainlander who was “immigrating” here. People in my old neighborhood have said they never see the husband. I guess I know why now.

  4. My comment also posted at the other site:

I have to laugh at these guys taking advantage of Canada’s childishly naive system, which is ripe for corruption. Many critics said exactly this would happen, they were shouted down by the Political Correctness Police, and called all manner of names,”racist” , “xenophobic”, “bigots”,etc, etc., ad nauseum. That they were absolutely correct has no bearing on this.
So, in accordance with Canada’s justice system, give Mr.Wang the obligatory slap on the wrist, maybe charge him with Court costs, he’ll still make a hell of a profit, and let’s not ask any more uncomfortable questions about immigration, it might be considered racist, and we might find more uncomfortable truths.”
I suspect the people who brought in the legislation, either Mulroney or Chretien, knew very well this would occur, but were “convinced” to go ahead with the legislation as punishing the few to benefit the many would be,in the words of our beloved new Minister of Foreign Affairs, “dat’s not fair”.
1200 clients over 8 years at 10 million bucks per……….hmmm, that’s way more money than I ever earned, guess I was just another “working fool”. Fortunately,I can’t do the figures when I run out of fingers and toes,or my outrage would be even greater! But that’s a hell of a lot of money.
Thankfully, in our august system of government, no money was ever offered to any of our officials, elected or unelected, to further this notorious criminal activity!
This is NOT Mexico! Nope. We are governed by the best people money can buy.
I am assured by the fact that our system works and this criminal was caught! After a suitable period of incarceration and extensive rehabilitation, I’m sure he will emerge in about six months a sadder and wiser individual, fully prepared to commit to living the life of an honest Canadian citizen and will make substantial contributions to our cultural mosaic.
I’d burst into a few choruses of “Oh Canada”, but can’t remember the French words and don’t want to offend anyone.

  6. 1200, with a population of 1.3 billion, China will not miss these few:-)))
Actually it would be nice to CRA go after mister Wang, (could we just call him dick???)and try collecting back taxes

  7. Don, this barely scratches the surface of the scams I’ve heard about. I’ve heard of lawyers and accountants who register a company and keep books on an enterprise that has no sales, no employees, – nothing. The accountant reports sales & pays HST. The “owner” “Hires” some people (unemployed Chinese who give their SIN to have their deductions all proper, including income tax deductions. The ‘owner’ gets the income tax back from the “hiree” in return for money going to CPP and EI. Later when the conditions for PR are met, the owner becomes a resident, & the fake employees collect UI.
Our govt loves them for being entrepreneurs contributing to Canadian way of life. And it’s all an illusion.

  8. I read where Mr. Wang was sentenced to seven years imprisonment. He was also ordered to pay two sums of money total about one million dollars. This included tax evasion.
I just wonder how much time he will actually serve and actually pay.
