  11. My guess is that anything nasty will happen while Obama is still in power. Seems logical to be opportunistic while the gutless wonder is still running the show, as the next government could be much stronger. Unless Bernie Sanders happens to win. In that case there wouldn’t be enough popcorn in the world to cover the entertainment.

  13. Nature abhors a vacuum is right, and the current potus has not only created a big vacuum in the world major powers lineup, but also totally messed up every region he has put his hand to. Verbal red lines do not cut it.
    Maybe they should try sending those parkas Justine was talking about a while back. I read today that Siberia is experiencing below normal temperatures as well as early blizzards.

  14. actually John the USA has done no damage at all. They have, in the past enabled many countries to ignore their own defense needs and left it up to the USA “umbrella” to protect them. This is what needs changing, and with Obumbles “holding back” this has been hi-lited in a negative context. Obumbles doesn’t understand that shifting responsibility back to “them” should be done gradually, and not as it has happened. I can see several countries doing similar things to what Israel did after the Kennedy fiasco, acquire their own nukes. As to Russia and the Chicoms, they are as much about expansionism as they are about security.

  16. The US created ISIS, turned it loose, and still supports it – even with aircraft, if the news is to be trusted. The rise of ISIS is partly responsible for the migrant crisis in Europe. The US supported and still supports the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. They covertly inflamed the situation in the Ukraine. They overthrew Ghaddafi in Libya, and converted a somewhat “friendly” nation into a base for jihad. In the US itself the rat Obama’s regime has destabilized the US and been responsible for the deaths of many police, and for polar-bearing. Obama’s use of US troops untrained in Ebola-stricken areas of Africa not only was largely useless, but bore a serious chance of bringing Ebola to the US and Canada.

  21. I don’t think the US deliberately created ISIS, incompetence did. They are responsible for Lybia and have alienated Egypt, SISI being on our side.

  23. I am sufficiently French in my thinking to hold that massive stupidity is criminal. Oh, Robert of Ottawa, you are correct that the creation of ISIS was inadvertent, consequent upon the inept actions of Paul Bremer. He had the de Nazification of Germany following WWII as a a model, but instead just turned most of the former Iraqi military leaders loose – no job, no prison, so they made mischief.
    Rat Obama then turned ISIS loose, and the US has been supporting it ever since. ISIS “just happens” to chase off military opponents and takes their weapons.

    And, of course, the US has moved some F-15Cs into the theatre, which have no ground attack capability and are good only against Russian aircraft.
