The funny and sad part is that in eastern Europe, China, Vietnam, and Russia, communism and much of leftism in general is being voted out and here the population has been hoodwinked with false promises of hope and change to embrace it.

The hope for conservatism is to lower taxes repeatedly and starve government programs. That way Liberalism will be associated with tax increases and debt, not that that seems to matter. They should also make permanent reductions in spending like axing the CBC and maybe spinning off the post office. If CBC was gone for 5 years, revival would be silly, if not impossible.
