  1. This speech should be mandatory viewing for every prof and college student. Too late however for the media, they have already sold out.

  2. Lots of brilliant insights and lots of humour. Interesting analysis of why jokes are so important. As stand-up comics are finding out, so much can no longer be laughed at.
    The Elois facilitating the Morlocks.

  3. “Mark Steyn, however, promised from the podium that next time he’ll speak at the Royal Theatre as a free man before free people, and not behind locked doors with security checks and guards from the Danish Parliament.”

  4. I do agree that defenders of individual freedom has pretty much always been a small group. Given that the freedom defenders now are also a small group I do find some solace. There is still a chance to stop the islamification of Europe. But the effort won’t come from the media faces like the Pope. He’s far too busy getting lost in lost causes while forgetting his real responsibility to Christians. He’s definitely no Apostle Paul.

  5. It is troubling though that there are very few of those that call themselves journalist that have the idea of freedom is as a priory in their mind.

There are very few blogs that have no limits as SMD. While that may be cumbersome at times, so be it.
I thank and congratulate Miss Kate that she has such understanding of freedom that you may now and then get some wacky characters and keep it rolling along.
As a pre-emptive strike, this could apply to the present commentator at times when other than dominant view is offered.

  6. Thank you Mark. You are a hero for freedom everywhere. The lights are slowly going out all over the western world. Here in Canada it seems we are about to vote in those that will help hasten the process.
