  1. Best assessment of Trump and his impact on the entrenched corruption in Washington –
“But for once, the powerful socialist cabal and the corrupt crony capitalists are scared. I’ve never seen them this outraged…this vicious…this motivated…this coordinated. NEVER in all my years in politics, have I seen anything like the way the mad dogs of hell have been unleashed on Donald Trump.> Don’t you ever wonder why the GOP has never tried to impeach Obama? Don’t you wonder why Boehner and McConnell talk a big game, but never actually try to stop Obama? Don’t you wonder why Congress holds the purse strings, yet they’ve never tried to defund Obamacare or Obama’s clearly illegal Executive Action on amnesty for illegal aliens? Bizarre, right? It defies logic, right?
Well first, I’d guess many key Republicans are being bribed. Secondly, I believe many key Republicans are being blackmailed. Whether they are having affairs…or secretly gay…or stealing taxpayer money…the NSA knows everything. > Donald Trump has the audacity to ask out loud why American workers always get the short end of the stick? Good question.
I’m certain Trump will question what happened to the almost billion dollars given in a rigged no-bid contract to college friends of Michele Obama at foreign companies to build the defective Obamacare web sites. By the way that tab is now up to $5 billion.
Trump will ask if Obamacare’s architects can be charged with fraud for selling it by lying. He will ask if Obama himself committed fraud when he said, “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it.”
Trump will investigate Obama’s widespread IRS conspiracy, not to mention Obama’s college records.
Trump will prosecute Hillary Clinton and Obama for fraud committed to cover-up Benghazi before the election. > Trump will investigate. Trump will prosecute. Trump will go after everyone involved…just for fun. That will all happen on Trump’s first day in the White House.
Who knows what Donald will do on day #2?

  2. Would love to see a cartoon of Pm Harper being tied down by a bunch of Lilliputians. It must be so frustrating for him to be under attack for such petty things as a stupid candidate having urinated in a cup a few years ago.

  3. David Frum writes a column that is actually worth reading.
    Closing Europe’s Harbors

Now Europe is learning that today’s refugees are at high risk of becoming tomorrow’s high-school dropouts, tomorrow’s unemployed, and tomorrow’s criminals.

Immigrants from non-EU countries are twice as likely as natives to drop out of secondary school. Those of working age are twice as likely to be unemployed. Immigrants are also hugely overrepresented in the prisons of France, Britain, Belgium, and other European countries. Furthermore, a 2014 study in The Economic Journal found that each year between 1995 and 2011, immigrants from outside the European Economic Area were a net drag on the United Kingdom’s budget.

  4. NDP MP Fin Donnely still insists that he was helping Alan Kurdi, the Syrian boy who drowned while escaping from ISIS, and his family come to Canada. In spite of the fact that the boy’s aunt went on worldwide media sites and made it clear she had never made a formal application for Alan and his family come to Canada, Donelly still wants to make the spotlight. Like–is this guy working for the CBC, or is it the other way around??

    Excerpts
    (1)
In Greece the Muslim migrants refused the bottled water distributed by workers because it had a Red Cross was on the box.
    (2)
I saw an elderly Italian woman in a car that was surrounded by the immigrants. They pulled her by the hair out of the car and wanted to use it to go to Germany. They tried to topple the bus i was in. They threw feces at us, banging on the door for the driver to open it, spat on the glass.

  6. Time for Finnigan to quit with the nonsense, and time for a new NDP candidate in that particular riding, if they can find one.
So, Fin, did you actually expect the Minister’s office to fill out the application for your “client”? Whaaa? How does that work, exactly?
Kate can help quite a lot here, actually: I’d recommend, #replaceFinDonnelly.

  7. Although I am not sure of Trump’s politics, he certainly does fill the need to clean the Augian Stables in Washington.

Via American Digest a site that should be bookmarked by everyone here. (EBD tip long ago). Partial quote only. Go to the link for the rest and the source.

It may be inferred again that the present movement for women’s rights will certainly prevail from the history of its only opponent: Northern conservatism. This is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation.

Though of course you don’t have to agree with his bemoaning women’s rights.
I was thinking about some high level cons’ retreat in the face of the abomination of homosexual “marriage” tho I grant that this is old hat now compared to “gender identity” issues which shall in due time be old hat too.

“The truth must be told! All European life died in Auschwitz
    By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez
I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth – Europe died in Auschwitz.
We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, and talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.”

  11. “Looks like the carbon tax will be working”
You are not suggesting that they knew the sun is dialing down & the hockey stick will flip, on queue, as proof that carbon controls the Climate?.. The AGW fraud has an end game that will eat money as the Hockey stick flips on Command.
In the old days every Engineering problem was thought to be solved by firing the money Canon. Nice work if you can sell it.

  12. Hey Lance and Kate, here’s one for your “Intellectual and Moral Superior” category. I was drawn to this headline: https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/canadas-prairies-crude-slump-puts-first-oil-patch-052508781–finance.html on Yahoo Finance to find a mind numbing cliché in the first sentence. See if you can spot the generalisation that doesn’t fit.
This together with this weekends moral preening without any consideration for facts or context over the dead boy’s photo just reinforces why I don’t know where to look to get well researched news.

  14. Corny,
I just tried to get the statistics on corn production in NW Saskatchewan and found that it is not reported in the Crop reports. It is mentioned as a forage crop but I can’t find any statistics on how many acres are grown in Saskatchewan let alone NW Saskatchewan. Nor did the most recent specialty crop report. Sure the number was somewhere I called here:
    Agriculture Knowledge Centre
    Saskatchewan Agriculture
    Toll free: 1-866-457-2377
    E-mail: aginfo@gov.sk.ca
They didn’t have an answer but put me through to the Front Desk in North Battleford who cheerfully reported that there might be someone in the office next week who could answer that question.
There is 1/2 an hour of my life I’m not getting back.
I’m sure some exists as I understand it has become a small part of the forage crop acreage for cattle producers who like to have their animals graze it in the winter.
Perhaps Moral and Superior reporter Nia Williams should edit her report to read ‘Amid the corn field and canola fields of western Saskatchewan’ because she must have found Oilman Roy in the middle of the only corn field for miles.
Sorry, Nia Williams, but after I read your ‘Corny Cliche’ in the first sentence I stopped reading the article.
I have to agree with Corny. Where but SDA do we go to look?
