I too see this attitude everywhere. Harper is a bully. Harper is a dictator. Harper is a big meanie. My sister-in-law came up with the gem that Harper is attempting to “Americanize” the country. When asked for an explanation, she was stuck for an answer but she did see it on TV …. CBC no doubt. An acquaintance of mine with firm conservative beliefs …. controlled spending and avoidance of debt, good work ethic, dislike of public service unions, dislike of out-of-control immigration policies, etc. is a genuine Harper-hater. He refers to the Prime Minister as a dictator and most recently revealed that Harper is going after the undecided voter. Something that Trudeau and Mulcair simply would not do.
It’s no surprise that my friend gets his news exclusively via the CBC.

In a world where budgets balance themselves, why would you even doubt that fuzzy warm feelings are all you need to expand an economy?

I think that the only way to describe a very significant portion of left leaning voters is indoctrinated. Not simply stupidly liberal, but indoctrinated in the same sense as a Jonestown adherent.
You can put facts, evidence and reality based observations in front of those who have been indoctrinated by the Canadian media, and it will not matter a bit. They will still vent against Harper with neck vein bulging vigor.
Its not just propaganda the LIV has been fed, the media has been very successful at draping the warm cloak (comfy fur) of intellectual and moral superiority around the shoulders of the LIV – without the LIV having to actually think.
So when the average conservative minded person who has developed their ideology through reason, experience, history and moral consistency and clarity tries to explain how the LIV is invested in a false ideology that has no basis in reality, all the LIV knows is that you are trying to steal from them that very warm cloak the progressive media has given them (that they also are told they are very deserving of due to the fact that people who adopt this ideology are the only ones who can truly see the kings cloths)
Its like an intellectual welfare cheque. The person who tries to take away your entitlement is your enemy. And the media then happily validates the narrative they began.

Common sense should have been enough to doom that Crap intrigue. No Prime Minister in history had the Greenies, Unions, Print & Tv Media,coerced tribal Chiefs, and Outsiders such as the United Nations, Left wing heavily financed Socialists,and numerous U.S.A.financed Canadian organizations stacked up against Him. If Kim Justin-il wants the economy to grow, he’ll have to get government and its coercive policies out of the way. There are no other options.
I got a bit sick of the anti-Justin ads after about 20 views, but I’m sick of Justin’s ad after one or two. Government cannot help the economy, only hinder it!

I’ve been out canvassing on behalf of my local Conservative candidate, and sadly I’m hearing the same message from too many people: Harper, too controlling, too dictatorial, a tyrant yada,yada.
I simply remind them that we don’t vote for a Prime Minister, but rather a solid, knowledgeable local candidate who understands the needs and concerns of the constituency and that keeping their hard earned dollars in their own pockets is paramount. Better they use that money to make decisions regarding how their kids are raised than some bureaucrat in Ottawa.
Please consider giving a few hours to your local candidate. It’s not hard and not even unpleasant to do a bit of door knocking – and this election is going to be won in the trenches.
Can you really expect anything different from the guy who said in his closing remarks at the debate:
“we are who we are and Canada is what it is”
Oh, Justine is going to manage canada from his heart – how nice. Some nice blankets for victims of murders. Good idea. Anyone who plans to vote for him is not thinking about Canada. Just remember folks: when oil prices continue to collapse, when new “green taxes” and freezes on infrastructure are implemented, when the Keystone and Energy East pipelines are axed; when your TFSA savings are suddenly taxed and all other taxes are raised; when a Carbon tax is added onto that to further suppress the economy; when you finally loose your job but still have to pay for “universal daycare” even though you’re now at home with a long stack of resumes to send out …
remember that Justin really, really cares for you with all his heart.
