Glanced at Don Martin’s column and came to the conclusion that he is suffering from some sort of separation from reality. His musings were so bizarre that, at first, I was of the opinion that it was all tongue-in-cheek. However, after coming up with the following sentence, I was convinced that he is trapped in some bizarro world.
“Green Party Leader Elizabeth May, as always, was solid, articulate and excelled on files beyond her environmental platform.”
Martin came up with this gem after predictably slagging PMSH, gently criticizing Mulcair and patting Trudeau on the head for not publicly soiling his pants.
Anyone live in Victoria? I’d love to organize a riot for May. If you’re interested reply here.
Harper is even ahead in the CTV Atlantic Web Poll, at a surprising 42% so far, while Mulcair is the least favoured in both polls. “No clear winner” outpaces each opposition leader in both polls as well.
Ah but Trudeau is was the winner according to this poll.
“Trudeau seen as strongest candidate by Torontonians in 1st debate: poll.”
Right, in Toronto. Wynne land. Actually he finished second to “no one leader won”. IOW poetic justice:
“The Forum Research poll of 1016 Toronto voters conducted Friday found that nearly one-quarter of respondents (23 per cent) think that Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau came out on top of the debate held in the city Thursday night. Conservative Leader Stephen Harper took second spot with 17 per cent, followed by the NDP’s Tom Mulcair at 15 per cent and Green party Leader Elizabeth May at ten per cent.”
Twenty-five per cent of respondents felt that no one leader won.” http://www.cp24.com/news/trudeau-seen-as-strongest-candidate-by-torontonians-in-1st-debate-poll-1.2507699
Is this why Mulcair is now ducking Harper, trying to trap him into french debates? Harper will likely call his bluff, followed by Town Hall announcements.

But just today the NDP sent me an email congratulating Mulcair on his big win at the debate. And then asked me for a $5 donation.
I was not surprised to see the numbers on this poll, however I was surprised that the CTV would actually report something in Mr. Harper’s favor.
Harper’s ahead in both polls now.
“Harper’s ahead in both polls now.”
Do tell.
You can vote as many times as you want

As yes, the Forum Research poll — from the firm that has developed a specialty this week in the area of robo-calling people at ten in the morning to get their political opinions. The first instance was the poll released earlier this week taken between 10:00 and 16:00 on the Sunday of a long-weekend — and presto! A double-digit lead for the NDP!
And now this — robo-poll between 10:00 and 15:00 today, when most people with year-round gainful employment are, you know, at work — and presto! Justin Trudeau wins the debate!
Heck, if this is what passes for “scientific” opinion research, I’m going to stick with these little “unscientific” grass-roots internet polls.
You’re right of course about “Wynne land”. And speaking of which, I notice that Dear Leader was out again today slagging Mr. Harper, claiming that her relationship with him could not be more “dysfunctional”. And that would be about the most introspective and honest thing she has ever said: after all, how could Mr. Harper possibly deal functionally with a completely dysfunctional provincial government led by an American-style militant prog who has no concept of appropriate economic policy or proper financial management. Keep talkin’, Kathleen, keep talkin’!
But, then again, I can’t possibly understand how Mr. Harper is leading in even these little vote-in internet polls. After all, the bloodhounds of the Canadian media assembled a pretty damning indictment against Mr. Harper today: apparently, according to these sleuths, Mr. Harper accidentally knocked over a glass of water just before the start of the debate, his bus apparently stopped in a bicycle lane for some period of time while the debate was underway, and — wait for it — his campaign momentarily sent out a tweet in which “Prime Minister” was missing an “i”. Oh, the humanity! Certainly the most compelling case for a change in government I have ever seen!
‘Oh, the humanity!’
What will this PM do next?
Snub a reporter?
Palm a wafer?
Not appoint a senator?
The evil never ends.
Pity someone didn’t give Elizabeth May a couple of glasses of chardonnay to get her fired up!
Perhaps it would be more fun to vote Justin,Commie or Tin Lizzy.
I can already see the headlines from our media party if we bias a poll massively in favour of one of their luvvies.
And then the boasting from that candidates campaign.
Followed by the only poll that counts and the shrill finger pointing that always follows.
Most of these polls are so shaped to produce the answer the pollster desires, so why not return the favour.
It is only fair, they lie to us, we return the favour.
For sure I’m gonna vote for Just-In, Frenchy or the Green Screecher, lying to Libtards is a civic necessity.
Love it

Same question, different results.

I don’t think this one needs our help.
