  1. Sean did a great job of this. It is unfortunate that this work will not get more national exposure to counter the anti-resource development crowd.

  2. Many thanks to Kate for the link to the piece. Here’s a follow-up on my own blog 24 hours later:

No replies from any energy company as of five minutes ago when I last checked my mail. I have received leads from people in two different municipalities and I will be following up with their economic development folks to see if that is a working angle. I’m not giving up.

  3. Oh my, he supports public schools and teachers. They certainly need all the support they can get…before the whole socialist monstrosity topples over.

  4. Well, I do. I’m also married to a teacher (an awesome one) so there’s obvious bias involved. I don’t support the A.T.A. as I feel they drag down the good teachers and hurt the profession. My kid’s school blew up partway through grade seven and I was a homeschooling parent for half a year. I struggled with it. It gave me a real appreciation for what educators do.
I tip my hat to those who can homeschool and to those who can afford or who have access to private schools. My own kid is in a public school, but it’s actually going pretty well for the most part. I do what I can as a volunteer to help out with that. 🙂

  5. Yeah, robbing Peter to pay Paul is always popular with Paul.
Being on welfare may be necessary at times, but it’s not something of which to be proud.
