We Don’t Need No Stinking Giant Fans

Breitbart;

Fairfax Media reports Mr Abbott’s conservative coalition government has ordered the taxpayer-funded $10 billion Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) to immediately cease any new investments in wind power projects. Treasurer Joe Hockey and Finance Minister Mathias Cormann issued the so-called green bank with a directive to change its investment strategy.
The funding ban is just the latest salvo in the government’s attacks on the renewable energy sector which also includes small-scale solar projects.

  1. “The funding ban is just the latest salvo in the government’s attacks on the renewable energy sector”
Uhuh. And what about the eco-cultist’s attacks on humanity in conjunction with the UN and their Agenda 21?

  2. Hopefully this is the first of many nails in the coffin for the envro-whacks. This should make some of the more dubious of the johnny-come-lately-to-the-party greenies rethink their position and go out and get a real job in the corporate world that they were trying to demolish because as the rest of us know without taxpayer funded backing renewable energy projects are non-starters.

  3. any and all energy projects that require taxpayer money should never go ahead. if it is not viable in the market it does not belong in the market.

  4. Eviormental wackos having post traumatic stress money disorders.
Now this 10 billion dollar parasitic loss-
Poor bastards will be jumping off the Sydney Opera House roof,
I would pay to watch that concert.

  5. Good for PM Abbot for giving the boot to the fraud artists. Would that some of our politicians would have that kind of courage, although I expect that some are in it for the cash they can scam and the ability to control people.

  6. No more bird and bat maiming windturbines quit wasting money on this green energy poppycock tell the greens to GET A LIFE

  7. It took a while but finally Mr. Abbott is following through on his promise to cut out a lot of the waste caused by the “Green” Energy crowd. He’s been methodical but there’s something else going on here. It’s like a voice has been found – using words like “utterly offensive” and “visually awful” is straight from the heart. It reflects the “enough is enough” feeling that I believe will be sweeping through countries around the globe that find they cannot afford the cost of bad technology.
BTW – I found many of the comments attached to the article entertaining.

  8. A looooong awaited “breath of Fresh air” so to speak…Good on you Tony.!!
Industrial Wind does not and has never been viable in any part of the planet…without MASSIVE Public subsidy…that would be your and my tax dollars along with significantly increased energy bills. It never generates when you need it and you cannot with todays tech, store it….so ya sell it at basement bottom prices and we pay.
The same can be said for: BioFuels, BioMass and all the other useless projects that require public dollars. Most of those do not have a viable REI…(Return on Energy Invested)…and at the same time have a large impact on food pricing worldwide.
Check this report out by a US Navy Captain: http://www.au.af.mil/au/ssq/digital/pdf/spring_13/kiefer.pdf
I too am with Mr Abbot: AGW is complete and total CRAP…a scam if you will.
IMO, an increase in CO2 can only be a good thing…it will green the planet and as such will help with food production for the 7+ Billion of us living here.
Kathleen – Rachel are either of you listening…???

  9. I believe the subsidy should continue. There should be one more payment equal to the cost of the TNT needed to topple these monstrosities!

  10. Eco-Wackos need to go jump off the Talahachi Bridge just like Billy Joe McCalaster did r be tied to the blades ofa windturbine

  11. Here is hoping that the Donald comes out swinging against this
The silent majority needs to yell
