I’m home, but it’ll be a day or two before I’m back up to speed. 6,000 km of driving, plus 9 days of shows over 16 days — I need a little recovery time. In the meanwhile, here are a few shots taken with my simple phone camera on the final leg home.

One last pit stop before crossing into Canada.

“Turner – next 7 exits”
If I can find others from the shows proper that are worth sharing, I’ll add those later. It was a fairly successful tour, some highs, some lows, but two dogs gained new titles, and one of our crew won the bred-by-exhibitor group at Great Western Terrier Specialty at Long Beach on Saturday. I’ll be (mostly) home now for several weeks, too many projects and work here at home to be on the road. Many thanks to the guest bloggers who keep the place humming during my road trips!

a plains area and rural and the roads clear
Welcome home. Congrats on the wins!
“Rush hour traffic south of Shaunavan.”
A) Funny.
B) And may it always be thus.
LA and the Deerfoot it ain’t. Thank God.
CAS
I cant find Turner Sask on Google maps
THIS CAPTCHA HAD MORE THAN 20 LETTERS.
7 exits? Really? Huh.
Looks like your run of the mill 2-exit ND farm “town” – actually, township center.
Cal, there’s a little button on the captcha, looks like a circle. It reloads a new one.
Welcome home Kate. Good Dogs, Who’s a Good DOG!!!!
Cal2:
Turner Montana. Kate was in my neck of the woods. I have an American PO Box in Turner so I am quite familiar with it.
thanks. looks so like Shaunovan area .
Welcome home Kate. Those dogs must bring great joy for you.
Those 7 exits…about 7 driveways?
Upgraded to a phone with a camera then. So all those detailed road shots by Kate are a thing of the past?
I drilled wells at Frontier and Monchy , talk about a whole lot of nothing.
Damn girl, you are the proverbial energizer bunny. Just keep going and going…
I get tired just imagining your schedule. Between all those shows, miles and miles of kilometers traveled, SDA blog of course, and the breeding/prepping/etc in order to enter the shows. Oh yeah, a job and perchance a personal life. You are incredible. If you lived any farther north I’d recommend you for the Polar Medal.
Kate, you must be exhausted! Great results from showing your dogs!
The first photo’s landscape looks very familiar to me. And peaceful.
I live in New Jersey. Those pix look like another planet to me.
Welcome home Kate.
Welcome home Kate.
There are some very low population density areas in Montana. Here is an interactive map that shows how empty some counties here are:

Just glimpsed your video Kate. That is one beautiful puppy.
Welcome home, and congratulations on yours and your buddy;s successes.
Lance did a smoked turkey for us and a good time was had by all.
Dumb flatlander kid visits a farm sees a pile of milk bottles and says OH LOOK A COWS NEST
Turner!! That’s the home of Kimber’s Bar and Grill!!
Those small border town bars flourished until the day when the bars in Saskatchewan stayed opened on Sunday. A burger with home fries is still cheaper in Montana!
“Dumb flatlander kid visits a farm sees a pile of milk bottles and says OH LOOK A COWS NEST”
LOL. Love your postings, O Masked One.
with 7 exits they should rename it to Turn Here
