The news anchor has offered her “heartfelt” apologies for making that statement. Watched Fredricka Whitfield grovel a bit as she had to eat those words. Pretty sure the order came from much higher and her job might have been on the line. FOX news ran the story this morning.

  2. Fredricka Whitfield got her job the old fashioned way — nepotism. Her father is 3 time Olympic gold medalist Mal Whitfield, who worked for the U.S. government for several decades.

  3. Ya mean ya can’t get stoned on the job? Ya can’t come to work high? Wait a minute I’ve got a prescription for this stuff – it’s medicine. What do you mean I’m fired……..

  4. Must say Bono was most diplomatic in his visit to Ottawa, singing the praises of Canada. I’m sure the media were hoping for him to utter something they could use against the PM, it didn’t happen.

  5. The Dallas police department hasn’t accepted Whitfield’s apology as it was a non-apology apology.

  6. Not a news story, but I’m sure the readers here will be interested anyways.

The author is a Dane speaking about his country, but what he talks about could apply to pretty much everything liberal/leftist – especially their mindset.

  7. Trudeau must convince Canadians their nation is “broken” as Andrey Coyne-d it, so he can fix it, always from the top down of course with gender quotas, bilingual only SCOC justices and childish appeals to “fairness.” Whatever false narratives are required will be served up by his sycophants, coordinated by Gerald “in the” Butts and his Move-On team.
Speaking of false narratives, here’s some whoppers from those who believe government employees should be allowed to practice personal political activism on the taxpayer dime, nor allow taxpayer subsidies via “charitable contribution” to their pet causes. Even though this is no change from previous governments, frankly Steve is just being way too mean and domineering and well, ideological (aka disagreeing with your ideology):
“Civil society coalition takes aim at Harper government for stifling dissent”
All Canadians, no wait, most Canadians, then again, some Canadians, well at lease the “civil” ones agree with their statist ideas and want them, even though they’re unelected and supposedly public servants, to foist their points of views on the public. It’s for our own good, after all.

I was going to refer to ridiculous comments about the long form census, where they were dictating how they should be viewed, but it got edited out I noticed.

  8. Woo hoo, love the new captcha !!!!
I can read it the first time, no squinting, shifting the head, and still getting it wrong.

  9. There was nothing much wrong with the old Captcha in my opinion. On occasion its display didn’t match the characters it would accept. Solution: cut and paste your text message then reload the page and try again. And once in a while the streaks behind the letters made a letter or two look like a different letter. Solution: do the next one.
But naturally I have to take the new one out for a spin.
