The Twitterati — the time-rich, mostly left-leaning set, consisting of cultural entrepreneurs, commentators and other people who don’t work with their hands and can therefore tweet all day — were especially dumbfounded by the results. Boiled down, their pained cry was: “But everyone I know voted Labour.” […] The real Two Britains… is, on one side, the Britain of the moral clerisy, which is pro-EU, multicultural, anti-tabloid, politically correct and devoted to welfarism and paternalism… and, on the other side, the Britain of the rest of the us, of the masses, of those people increasingly viewed by the cultural elite as inscrutable, incomprehensible, and in need of nudging, social re-engineering and behaviour modification.
The “Conservative” party in Britain is not really conservative. Marxism-Lite is more accurate.
I wish it were all true but strongly suspect they will bounce back next election cycle.
In a properly run homosexual liberal state only homosexual liberals have rights. Obviously the vote must be taken away from redneck racist riffraff. The good news is communism, socialism, liberalism fail when they run out of money. The bad news is that it’s OUR MONEY!
The Institutional left owns the culture and it happens to be a suicidal culture and they can’t understand the resistance of the unwashed to being dragged into their sewer. They should be happy that politically we end up with compromising “centrists” forcing us there anyway albeit at a slower pace.
First you subvert the means of public discourse, by deeming yourselves the judges of what shall be dicusseds and how.
Seize control of the traditional means of discussion.
Ignore all other points of view, scream and fling feces when logically challenged.
Soon no one will talk to you, they maintain a polite silence and encourage you to talk to others of your own ilk.
Then you believe your own BS and seek to impose it upon all.
Only to get voted into oblivion.
Then the real hysteria begins.
How could these ignorant, stupid yob voters BETRAY us so?
Watch the phoney protests and attempts to incite a riot.
For democracy is only wonderful for progressives, when they win.
It’s especially ironic given that Labour was the party of the proles, and the Tories were the party of the establishment.
