Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau’s office says his decision not to attend an event in Nova Scotia amid a social media backlash over a provincial government decision to cut the province’s film industry tax break was made because he’s meeting with the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi.

The documentary series “Trailer Park Boys” about life in Nova Scotia is a great production, but it should be taxed out of existence along with everything else down east, it’s only fair, there’s no need for anything except government and its supplicants.
‘Filmmaker Leah Johnston moved home to Nova Scotia from Los Angeles two years ago because she had an opportunity to direct a film and found more work in Halifax than in L.A.
