This passage from Theodore Roosevelt’s Sorbonne speech is apropos today:

It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.

Whether Roosevelt knew it or not, he quite accurately described the difference between those who want to keep a free country (most of the right), and those who are just LI sheeple and want communism (the left).     -Has reported real news by publishing the Danish cartoons about Mohamed so we could actually see what the riots in the mid east were about. All other western media were either too terrified to publish them or too sympathetic to their cause.
    -Has moved governments to abolish the HRC thought crimes provision. After he was charged by HRC for publishing the cartoons he fought back first by challenging HRC and winning and then describing how HRC works in his book Shake Down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzVJTHIvqw8
    -Has changed the narrative on the oil sand debate through his book Ethical Oil. His arguments became the talking points of the government and any other pro development group.
    -Exposed Tresa Spence for the oppressive, unethical chief of Attiwapiskat.
    -Exposed occupy movement for the sham it was. Financed and directed by leftwing organizations.
    These are only a few of the things Ezra has done to shine the light of truth that the rest of the media refuse to report on.
    No, Ezra wasn’t in the cheap seats. Although he can be abrasive and irritating at times, he gets the job done.

  8. Let’s see now, on basic cable we get these news sources free; CBC, CBC, CBC, Global, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, CNN MSNBC. All left wing reporting organs. Sun TV, the lone Conservative voice was forced onto channel 800-900 or whatever and only if you pay for an additional package. So, it was Ezra who brought about their demise? Certainly not the leftists firmly in control of the CRTC and the cable networks. Now they’ll be moving to cleanse the internet of any non socialist voices. The left cheers as their children move ever closer to living in tyranny.

    Ezra has guts, is a real reporter and would be a free citizen.
    As a wit said;”Peter Mansbridge told us a fat woman was on a hunger strike, Ezra counted her chins”.
    Would you have the fortitude to interview ignorant and ugly people, mumbling threats to your person, as Ezra has done with our small crew of professional protesters?
    Would you even be aware how small and mercenary like this group is? Without his work…In their own words.
    How about interviewing idiotic police, who want to arrest the reporter, rather than enforce the law?
    Ezra has shown canadians what a real reporter is.
    What he has to find next, is a profitable venue to perform his art on.

    Government was a responsible function, power constrained by responsibilities,duties and consequences .
    What todays gong show is may better be described as Goverment , as in making with the show while ducking all the work.
    Another word for fools and bandits at the helm?
    For at so many agencies of the bureaucracy, I see no evidence of any attempts to govern these rapacious cancers.
    Borrowing funds, against the future productivity of our great grand children…
    Government, to govern, requires self control on the part of those who lead.

    As to Ezra, I like the man. He gets so much flak I can’t help but think he’s over the target more often than not. And he puts it on the line, not like some keyboard commandos who just bitch and whine and accomplish nothing.

    That’s it TR,that is what ails us today, we are governed by timid souls who fear for their careers more than they care about being responsible to the laws,Constitution, and history of their Country.
    As one of the school’s best speller when I was a kid,which I know from having competed in spelling bees,an ancient educational tool that is no longer in favor due to the possibility of hurt feelings and public humiliation, sometimes Spurwing’s posts drive me nuts, but his message is usually pretty sound,so I wouldn’t think of insulting the person by referring to his one shortcoming.

    Might I add
    – Showing that some of the protesters were familiar faces who show up at all types of left wing protests
    – Got at least one protester to admit how they were supported by outside funding
    – Revealed that some of the ‘protesters’ at one event were paid to be there and really had no idea what it was about
    – Revealed that the faux judge sitting at Suzuki’s mock trial was a real judge who was then pressured to leave because to the conflict to her real job
    – The true nature of the anti-Israel protests or were they pro-Palestinian, I can’t remember.
    Some may not like his style, but one kind of needs Ezra’s style to get things done. I think some of the protesters actually warmed up to him a little
    otherwise they probably wouldn’t have revealed some of the info they did.

  21. Should people kowtow to the ruling class? That is what TR clearly feels is the deference due to them.
    TR was one of the worst US presidents, and his vanity in running as a 3rd party guaranteed the election of Wilson, America’s first progressive president, whose horrible decisions we are still paying for today.
    Ezra has done far more for Western civilization than TR ever did.

  23. That passage describes Ezra perfectly. Hopefully this Rebel TV gets legs, and, or, we will continue to hear from Ezra. I did put my name down to get updates on the progress of Rebel. Unfortunately this medium probably will not be as accessible by the public unless people look for it.
    My spelling and grammar is not always perfect either, and when Spurwing Plover came back I at first thought, what do we have here, and then thought the message is what counts.
