Related: This week, Washington Post editors noted that “Though derided by some as a ‘unilateral’ U.S. action, the 2003 invasion and subsequent occupation of Iraq was supported by troops from 39 countries, nine of which deployed more than 1,000 soldiers.” The Post described Obama’s efforts, so far, as “meager” in comparison.

Throughout all that I kept thinking to myself that those Codepinkies are themselves not without blood splattered all over their clothes and hands. The blood of the innocents they refuse to defend by the necessary and forceful means that the animals only understand. Negotiation, compromise, diplomacy…. Pssssshhhh.
We will provide advisors and air power to prevent a takeover of the country. We won’t really try to win though.
Where did I hear that before?

The Big Fool Said to Push On…
Sen. Bob unleashes a “corker”…a tribute to his surname!
Thus far we have a “Coalition of the Nameless”…at least Bush could
rally those who stand for civilization.
Is Sec of State Kerry essentially admitting that thus far we have a
“Coalition of the One”?
Cheers

As always there is politics on both sides but Corker does nail the crux of the matter. The effort doesnt seem substantial, Corker knows the military advice is being overruled and trimmed severely. This is a typical Obama fig leaf cover on action, he doesnt want to do anything, he wont admit that the inaction over time has led to the problem.
To see Kerry now try to claim that the FSA is in need of assistance is laughable, when his boss said not 2 months ago that it was falsehood that arming the FSA was a real action.
Amatuers, I have some sympathy for Kerry because I think he knows better but let the desire to be Sc State get in the way. I get the sense Hagel, who I had pretty low expecations of, is also coming to the realization he has become part of something he didnt expect. WHile we may disagree with politics and even not like them personally I dont think anyone questioned their core loyalties. They are eexperienced Senators, they definitely know better.
Watch this go on a little longer and the 25th ammendment Section 4, becomes more realistic. Wont be impeachment, will be an internal removal, just start adding up the number of cabinet officers who would vote to remove.
Lets see how this plays out. The US system has all of the tools it needs to self correct.
Everyone knows that what Obama does is for his own advantage and that of the Democratic
Party; and that if he deems it expedient, to walk out on you, and sneer at your commitment.
Whether for purposes of domestic
politics or for mere whim, he will do so; and of course any success that a venture may experience
is his success, while any failure is YOUR failure.
And above al, lie! Lie for fun, lie for profit, but LIE!
Call it anti-leadership, call it what you will, it has been US practice since January 2009.
My cousin and I went to school with Kerry back in the1 1950s’. He was a piece of shi$ then and he his now.
As the Washington Post noted, dozens of other countries followed the US lead into Iraq in 2003. Say what you will about George, but that was a credible show of support.
Kerry and Bammie have essentially nothing. No surprise why. Bammie has shown complete lack of leadership on every international crisis and problem with which he’s been confronted. Other nations are becoming convinced that Bammie’s feet are made of clay, his head is pretty much empty except for high-sounding phrases, and worst of all, his belly is bright yellow.
The fact that Obama has wilfully weakened his allies and strengthened his enemies as an apparent matter of policy ensures that he will have no friends willing to join him in any venture. Better to stay out of his way than be stabbed in the back.
Aviator at 10:06 has it spot on…..
One can conclude that Obama is stupid, lazy or malicious. In any event, he is no leader and not one to be trusted. Countries are better off going it alone without American “help” (read: last-ditch efforts in which other countries are doing the heavy lifting because Obama was either too lazy to fight ISIS or is in agreement with them).
