  1. Joe loves Africa enough to give them plenty of “free” abortions, and generational welfare chains like he did his own blacks in the US.
The difference for Joe and his Liberal ilk is that Africa has conventional resource plantations, whereas places like Detroit only produce votes.

  2. No fan of Biden, but have to say I think pouncing on these gaffes is a bit juvenile. Who hasn’t made dumb mistakes like this? The difference is that most of us don’t have mics in our face most of the time.

  3. @Steve: I agree. A slip of the tongue …. “nation” vs “nations”. On the other hand, Biden is a pathetic foreign policy “expert” which, ironically, was his billing as the VP candidate in 2008. But it could have been worse. The VP could have been Hillary.

  4. Steve, he’s the VP of the United States. What would he expect other than have mics in front of his face all the time. Now, if he were a bookkeeper from OshKosh, Wisconsin I’d probably agree with you. But he’s not

  5. There may be some merit to your post.
Joe Bidens main problem is simply that he is an old white guy. Chosen by Obama as a token white.
Because Joe is an old white guy, the dog whistle racists in the MSM do not flush to his defense.
Without that palace guard, his failings remain exposed.
On reflection he may have a slight edge over the likes of Obama, Pelossi, Boxer, Holder, Shultz in the knowledge and intelligence area/factor. Really hard to tell.

  6. You’d have a point if it was rare and unusual. Joe has perfected the gaffe into an art form.

  7. Yeah, whatever. I love one of the reader comments though: “Impeachment insurance.”

  8. That is probably Obamist propaganda. Let’s just see: “There’s no reason the nation of Africa cannot and should not join the ranks of the world’s most prosperous nations in the near term, in the decades ahead,”
If we add a single S, a rather insightful comment emerges: ”There’s no reason the nationS of Africa cannot and should not join the ranks of the world’s most prosperous nations in the near term, in the decades ahead.”
I have not the slightest doubt that Joe Biden would make a much better President for the US than the obscenity Obama.

  9. It isn’t a gaffe.
Joe Biden is courting the African-American vote with this language.
Not the German-American or Italian-American vote, Germany and Italy being countries; but the African-American vote and Joe is therefore describing these people in terms which they understand and approve of.
We need to at least try to see things from the “Other’s” perspective if we ever hope to defeat them.

  10. We expect some form of excellence from our doctors, policeman, astronauts and so on, it would be nice if our Presidents and other leaders were held to some degree above mediocre as well.
Affermative Action and class clown are pretty sad resumes for the leaders of “The most Powerful Nation on EARTH”.
    cough, snicker.

  11. It’s not just Joe being Joe.
It’s also Nancy, being for a time in B.Hussien’s presidency, 2 heartbeats from the presidency…

“After Vice President Joe Biden encouraged “the nation of Africa” to “join the ranks of the world’s most prosperous nations” during his remarks at the United States-Africa Leaders Summit on Tuesday, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi tweeted out her excitement to be part of the festivities.”
