“When the President does it, that means that it is not illegal”

Via Universal Spectator;

The Federal Election Commission recycled the computer hard drive of April Sands — a former co-worker of Lois Lerner’s — hindering an investigation into Sands’ partisan political activities, according to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Sands resigned from the Federal Election Commission in April after she admitted to violating the Hatch Act, which bars executive branch employees from engaging in partisan political activities on federal time and at federal facilities.
The twist is that Sands also worked under Lois Lerner when the ex-IRS agent — who is currently embroiled in a scandal over the targeting of conservative political groups — worked at the FEC’s enforcement division.

  1. The term of art when enough co-incidences pile up: Conspiracy
    Wasn’t Al Capone who said, concerning murders of gang members, IIRC, something like:
    Once is happenstance
    Twice is coincidence
    Three times means war.

  2. The IRS and FEC circus clowns are piling up more BS and horse manure than can be produced by the entire Calgary Stampede.
    Take note insipid dissemblers and shameless liars: NO ONE BELIEVES YOU!

  3. What about a special prosecutor making threats of 20 year sentences unless they cooperate? Can the Senate appoint one? I suspect Obama and Holder aren’t going to.

  4. Nothing will get by the Senate until Harry Reid is no longer the Majority Leader. He will do ANYTHING to please B. Hussien. … the election is november, the new Senate takes its seat 3rd January 2015
    The same for the House, I think Boehner has allowed as much as he will with the appointments of Issa and Trey Gowdy to their recent positions. I’d be surprised if anything substantial comes of it prior to the election, aside from some embarrassing revelations of “crashed hard drives” during the coming election campaign.

  5. They don’t have to believe (and many of them don’t). They just don’t have to care that it’s about conservatives. These people believe there won’t be a Republican president anytime soon who would do anything remotely close to reciprocal. They’re right.
