  4. Bedbugs? Wait until they get a load of the scabies, lice, fleas and chagas bugs that are getting shipped all over the USA by the Feds right now, riding on all the little South American Dreamers. They’ll be looking back at the bedbugs as the Good Old days.
    Not to mention the tuberculosis. I mean, since nobody is mentioning it. They’re having TB outbreaks in the internment camps… I mean the Processing Centers where they are “processing” these people.
    I wonder if a general drug-resistant TB outbreak will be enough to get gay bath houses shut down? You know, since the AIDS epidemic couldn’t.

  7. Kate, Kate – yesterday it was the bus service in China, today in Detroit – not very convincing, Kate.
    When I was an undergraduate at Carleton University I took a biology course from the Dean of Science
    who was an entomologist. He mentioned once that he had on one occasion collected 642 bedbug from
    a slum house in Ottawa.
    Bedbugs are not major disease vectors. But they are unpleasant. May every liberal’s house be well infested.
    May every liberal child be lousy. It is the outward and visible manifestation of inward and spiritual ROT.

    Sounds like fun. The perfect disease for liberals. Or their children. Oh yes, you will say, children of the rich will never come
    in contact with scabies-infected children; but that overestimates the care which some of the rich take of their children, and
    of the many lower middle class and working class Democrat voters.

    It’s as if Obama sent notice out to all those Journolisters that mum’s the word, and they complied. He probably told them that DHS is screening them out 100% at the border, and the saps believed him.

    Lice and fleas certainly are, and we will soon be seeing those turning up on buses, trains subways etc. in epidemic proportions. If reports are true, we will also be seeing them on airplanes. Wear a hat, carry bug spray and RID shampoo in your luggage.
    Then there’s the whole “40 people in a tin can plus one with tuberculosis” thing. Which Kate has also posted recently if I remember rightly. Becoming more and more common, and definitely not being reported on.
    Face it, the last place you want to be is mass transit. That guy three seats over who looks like death and won’t stop coughing, what’s making him cough John? Is it the flu, or is it TB?
    When the entire government forsakes its role in public health for a cheap political trick, the bus is not your friend.
    Coming soon to a Toronto near you? Depends if somebody named Chowchow gets to be mayor I guess.

    How does SARS spread?
    An airborne virus – like influenza (flu) and the common cold, SARS is an airborne virus. It spreads in small droplets of water that infected people sneeze or cough into the air. Others breathe the droplets in and become infected themselves. Those most at risk need to be within three feet of somebody who coughs and sneezes.

  13. Nature out of balance. Cockroaches are supposed to
    eat or at least make an attempt to prey on the bedbugs.
    Bedbugs also die at temps over 113+°f held for one hour.
    Doesn’t seem like a mission impossible given that it’s
    the middle of summer and diesel buses usually contain heaters.
