  1. I’m gratified to see that everyone comment on that tweet except for one essentially say “Then what is your plan for the oil and the economy?” It’s also telling that the one comment in support is “here, here”. Too easy.

  2. Cal2 “”Alberta and Saskatchewan created in 1905.
Another fricking genius. The Provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan were created in 1905. The Districts of Alberta and Saskatchewan were created much earlier. Apparently they were policed by the Royal Rupert”s Land Mounted Police.

  3. OTOH (as my mother used to say) great minds think alike; simple minds seldom differ.

  4. This is the best idea I’ve heard in years!
Not only should we return to those glorious days of clipper ships, but zeppelins instead of airplanes would complete the green agenda.
Hell, we could make a fortune just training crews for the ancient technology!
I don’t believe the public outside BC is aware the fishing industry has almost gone the way of the dinosaur. When I moved here in 1966, commercial fishing was second only to logging, the biggest resource extraction industry. Since then it’s been all downhill,I doubt the fishing industry is even in the top twenty any more.
As for coastal logging, an oil spill won’t make any difference to timber extraction. The only coastal industry I can think of that might be affected is tourism, but entrepreneurs could probably make big bucks taking outraged eco-tourists out to see the oil spill, thus negating it’s negative effects.

  5. I don’t believe the Liberals will cancel the project till they put it in their Red Book right next to their promise of cancelling the GST.

  6. So for once justin expounds a policy that is in lock step with his step father.
Just like in PETs mind, Canada was to remain in economic isolation ignoring the world market forces while the budget just magically balanced itself.
