Trudeau…sigh.
“I’m of the school of international relations that says it’s important to talk to each other and it’s especially important to talk to regimes that you disagree with and which disagree with you,” Trudeau offered, in decrying the closure of the Iranian embassy in Ottawa — the domestic spy palace for a theocratic regime that has been known to torture, rape and murder its own citizens, as well as Canada’s, with impunity.
You know what scares me the most about Trudeau? No context or common dog.
The eviction of the Iranians and the closing of ours in Iran was a big surprise to everyone. It happened in a near vacuum, sure, there was the Iranian nuke program and Iran was supplying Syria, but that was bogged down in rhetoric with the US. Then, April 2013, the VIA Rail bombers are arrested. Surprise, backed by Persion AQ elements.
It’s not like the regime in Iran would have a beef with Canada or anything, or a Trudeau, in particular. I mean, Argo was just a movie, right?
That apple fell a little too far from the tree.

“That apple fell a little too far from the tree.”
While I do not have a problem with the overall point you are making as regards young Turdeau jr, I think it should be noted that the difference here between the boy and the father is that the father would have said the exact same things with full knowledge of what the Iranians did, whereas jr simply hasn’t a clue and just mouths the stuff his American masters feed him a few minutes prior to the cameras being switched on. I actually find myself giving him a break on some things, in much the same way one would treat someone who is mentally challenged. The father much less so.
Justin Trudeau is not very bright.
This compromises his ability to grasp complex concepts, to learn new things, and to speak effectively. He seems to be a narcissistic/ dependent personality. Such people remain infantile even as adults, avoid responsibility, and look to elders for guidance. Justin Trudeau displays these characteristics in his amazing naivete about the world. For him, Iran (Persia) is the place of the 1,001 nights, Russia is a place of nested dolls and borscht, and Mexico is a place to get hookers. These ‘countries’ are similar and equivalent to Disney World. If he visits Russia, he will want to go on the rides.
This is not a good personality profile for a prime minister.
Spake the Pony: “I’m of the school of international relations…”
The Pony hasn’t been to school for international relations. His highest paying job to date is part-time high school Drama teacher.
Shut up, Pony. Its your only hope.
Remember his papa kept yakking even after joe told him the story of the. Hostages.
Just wouldn’t quit
Idle Trust fund children like Trudeau Sr and Jr greatly exaggerate the value of foreign travel. Normal middle class youths may be too busy working a first job, beginning a farm, raising children, to be biking across Africa or Europe. Trudeau Sr travels were greatly curtailed in the 1939-45 period; thousands of his contemporaries saw Europe the hard way while he stayed home with his mother.
His vaunted foreign expertise somehow missed both the evils of fascism and communism; he was dead wrong about both.
As for Jr, merely hiking through the youth hostels does not make for foreign policy expertise.
I’m delighted to hear that he so favours talking to those with whom he disagrees. This would be a good time for Sun News to approach him about a 1/2 hour daily or weekly interview exclusive. As some of the Sun News hosts are Trudeau’s ideological opponents, he should have not problem disagreeing with this chance for an open dialogue.
When he refuses, it puts the rest of his comments into the proper context.
“I mean, Argo was just a movie, right?”
Lol, just because Affleck tried to rewrite history and turn the hostage incident into a USA victory story, with Canada as mere accomplices, Shiny Pony, and too many of his contemporaries, don’t know of the hatred Iran has towards Canada for what we really did. And I say we, as we are all targets of Iran now.
Well, except for useful tools such as Shiny Pony, and other Iranian fanboys like former Chief Terry Nelson of Manitoba.
Kumbaya….
Well I heard that Shiny Pony isn’t really a deep thinker but he plays one in the House of Commons.
Maybe jr. fancies himself as a modern che guevera – this time riding across Africa on a motorcycle. Watch for a new version of the motorcycle diaries.
“That apple fell a little too far from the tree”
Oh, don’t know about that. Turdo la First was a complete dickhead as well when it came to international relations. He just would have thrown in a couple of big words to impress la press. Turdo la Doo impresses la press without big words. You can draw your own conclusions about what that says about today’s press. 😉
Isn’t Justine’s brother an employee of the Iranian government?
Or the Vespa Diaries in Justin’s case. Y’know cuz he likes to feel the wind on his vagine.
Damn, this kid is effing stupid.
“… it’s especially important to talk to regimes that you disagree with and which disagree with you.”
Justie m’boy, they’re paying, organizing and arming people to blow up trains full of Canadian citizens. Those are your voters, moron, that these people wish to kill. No doubt he’d be squealing “Let’s talk about this” while these killers are trying to push something sharp and unpleasant up his posterior orifice.
Liberals like to preen their piety and reasonableness. Iran doesn’t give a fanny, they will find him a useful tool; help them get established on the UN disarmament committee and take out a few exiles.
The CIA ran the evacuation from the Canadian embassy. The myth that the Cdn govt led it is just that – a myth largely promulgated by Taylor.
Perhaps it’s time to rename these articles “coming soon in the next conservative ad”.
I have noticed that the trudeau retread has started referring to those pointing out his bimbo eruptions that while others are concentrating on him, he is concentrating on Canadians….. but to date no firm policy statements other than legalizing recreational use of pot so the government can get a cut of the action.
I like the point made by a previous post that Sun News should take Justin on his statement of talking to those he disagrees with and request an exclusive interview with him. Although I noticed he hasn’t had to much success providing an answer to what income range he sees as middleclass.
Gord
Don’t think Iran much cares about that distinction when it comes to its hateon for Western culture.
They hate anyone they see as a threat to the global jihad.
But Justin Trudeau is so . . . so . . . you know, so . . . yeah, I mean, really, ya know!?!
(With apologies to Churchill) For people who vote for this kind of thing, this is the kind of thing they vote for.
Are you sure Churchill said that? Sounds so much like something Chretien would have said.
