  1. Just goes to show how much damage a determined fringe group can do.
The Taliban has never garnered more than 5% of the vote in Afghanistan, yet can create the type of havoc that focuses all attention on it.

  2. There was some chatter in the past 2 days of the number of registration cards exceeding the population by a factor of 2x… I don’t know if that’s eligible voters, or total population, as I’ve been unable to find it this morning within the msm sites I generally see first.
Some more photos of the Afghanistan election, with 1 pretty girl, so see it instead of the BBC photos:

  3. I noticed all the pictures show women voting with their I.D.
    Pierre Poilievre knows no bounds!

  4. Won’t matter the Afghan government is a hopeless wreck.
All have promised to sign a security agreement with the United States that will allow thousands of foreign troops to remain in the country after 2014
Oh God I hope they all lose.

  5. The only future for this misbegotten sand box is a full scale slide back to Islamic barbarity and a bloodbath for those who had hope that the enlightenment, propped up by western troops, would last.
Care must be taken that no practitioners of islam are mixed into the inevitable flood of refugees, Western countries must be on guard and quarantine this sick ideology and prevent its toxic impact on what’s left of western civilization

  6. WOW Sheila Fraser feels you do not need Identification just voucher to vote in Canada.

  7. I remember sending her roses when she nailed the Libranos. Now I want to send her something that would reflect my displeasure at this. Maybe a bouquet of wilted roses.

  8. fhl “Sheila Fraser feels you do not need Identification just voucher to vote in Canada.”
In the past, auditors were simply bean counters. If the spending was properly authorized, everything was hunky dory. At some point they decided to evaluate effectiveness of spending. That’s when they decided to be politicians like the Supreme Court. We all know that effectiveness in government spending is an oxymoron.

  9. I’m thrilled Afghanistan is now free and fully democratic. Job well done. Maybe now the Afghan people can bring their high tech devices to market and relieve the pressure on the industrial warehouses high up in the mountains.

  10. Leilani Farha just told the most preposterous story to support the need for vouching to the committee
surely she does not believe that the only time we need to prove our identity is when we vote
the witnesses before the committee are showing a total lack of knowledge about how we Canadians live
As a Canadian I am asked for ID many times throughout the year
    PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK
