David Cameron’s Britain

Where the foxes caper unmolested, the government packs your Halal meats…

Pupils aged between three and 11 at Brinsworth Manor Infant and Junior Schools in Rotherham – which Ofsted identifies as having only a small number of pupils from minority ethnic groups – will no longer be able to enjoy sausages, bacon or ham.
Parents at both schools, which share a site, were told of the decision in a letter from Rotherham Council’s principal catering officer Ron Parry, who wrote that there had been ‘minor adjustments’ to the lunch menu.

  1. “Just 20 per cent” of the student body is muslim. Just.
Twenty per cent. I expect all the non muslim staff to be frantically looking for jobs in other schools. Sooner or later someone’s going to lose their head.
Twenty per cent. They’re doomed. If you own a house in that area, sell now before it becomes worthless to anyone but muslims.
Of course, the 80% could band together and show up at the school board with torches and pitchforks … Nah.

  2. They started selling halal meat at a supermarket near me a little while ago. Needless to say I don’t go there anymore.

  3. Kosher and Halal are essentially the same. It has to do with how the animal is killed and butchered.

  4. You could refuse to go there …..OR…. You could do what was suggested at the blog “Blazing Cat Fur”. You could go to the store to buy some bacon then after you grab some suddenly decide you don’t want it and throw it n the halal meat cooler.
    Try it. It’s fun.
At the school I think parents and nonmuslim kids should deliberately spread the rumor that the cooking and eating utensils and the food itself have been deliberately contaminated with bacon grease. The school would deny it of course but no one would believe them.

  5. The problem is not really with halal or kosher food – even in Canada, a vast range of foods we take for granted from corn flakes to soup, are routinely certified kosher.
But these labels have no significance at all unless you’re Muslim or Jewish. As a Christian, I’ll cheerfully eat kosher pickles or halal chicken – it’s just pickles and chicken to me because there are no dietary restrictions imposed by my religion. And for atheists, presumably the point is moot anyway.
No, the problem here is not what is being offered; it’s what’s not being offered. A “minority” is restricted from eating pork, so the majority is forced to observe the restriction too?
    All very wrong indeed.

  6. JJM makes an excellent point. I would also try to rally parents to pack sausages and bacon butties into their children’s lunches and encourage sharing.

  7. From the article: “A mother with an 11-year-old girl at the school, who asked not to be named for fear of being branded racist, said: “At home I pay more for organic and free range food. I am a Christian but I don’t do it because of that, it’s more for the respect of how animals are killed. The way the animals are slaughtered for halal meat is a religious killing and I don’t feel it should be in schools.”
Is there no way an asteroid could find the lot of them?

  8. When there are public schools such needless friction is bound to happen. If there are private schools there will be Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, atheist etc. schools. Every school will have the freedom to choose the menu appropriate to its kids. Simple, problem solved.
    End. Public. Schooling. Yesterday.

  9. JJM, great point. The problem is not what types of meat are being offered, although pork should also be on the menu, but the slow Islamization of the society. Don’t kid yourself, we will be facing this issue in Canada.

  10. Halal, if processed by the strict Muslim observance, is a sacrifice. The animal is slaughtered by facing the head towards Mecca and slitting its throat, while prayers are said offering it to the work of Islam and Allah. Kosher is strict observance to Torah food laws with the ingredients being blessed and prayers of thanksgiving before they are used. Two entirely different forms and functions.
Allah and Yahweh are not the same God, and their are wars, beheadings and jihad which are proof that they are not the same.
Halal is an offering unto Allah which makes it idol worship and that, for Jews and Christians, is not acceptable. There is but one true God, all others are idols.
A few years back, Calgary police arrested and charged and the Courts convicted a garage-based slaughter house which was processing and distributing meat which was Halal. The health standards were that of a third world nation. Halal is about the sacrifice, not about health and cleanliness standards.

  11. A key sentence in the article: Halal slaughter is performed by a Muslim butcher
A Muslim butcher . . . . don’t bother applying at the packing plant or butcher shop if you aren’t Muslim.
Do we really want to hand over an entire industry for no good reason?
That is why I don’t buy the stuff.

  12. Next they be serving Satanic Cult sacrifices at Safeway.
mmmmmmm, dibs on whats left of the heart?

  13. Britain. A stupid little country. It’s what Canada wants to be when it grows up.

  14. If kosher and halal are essentially the same, it must be something other than the food that causes one group to fly airplanes into buildings, strap explosives to their midsections, throw acid in the face of schoolgirls and behead those who don’t share their worldview.

  15. I spent 12 years in school and my kids did likewise without ever having a meal served to us. If food is a religious thing, keep it out of secular schools. Let parents feed their kids whatever they want.

  16. Here’s my recommendation for all schools in both the UK and Canada and just about anywhere else:
School starts at 0700 and classes go to 1200 with neither food nor eating facilities offered to students at all. The little buggers can have a big breakfast when they get up at 0500 and a good lunch when they get home.
No more whining about kosher, halal, peanut allergies, vegetarian/vegan requirements, etc., etc.
Plus – the taxpayer gets a break since we’re no longer subsidizing school cafeterias.
    Problem solved!

  17. JJM >
True, but that would then miss the whole point of tyrannical Liberal government control of your kids.
They insist that your kids be made gay and submissive to the worlds totalitarians, how on earth could they do that if our kids we’re actually parented?

  18. “Allah and Yahweh are not the same God, and their are wars, beheadings and jihad which are proof that they are not the same.
Halal is an offering unto Allah which makes it idol worship and that, for Jews and Christians, is not acceptable. There is but one true God, all others are idols.”
Just because a segment of the Muslim community is consumed with religious fanaticism there seems no good reason for us to be so consumed as well.

  19. Where is PETA when you need them. Have you been curious enough to watch one of the beheadings of Christians by the Fatwa entitled? It is supremely upsetting to see the amount of blood gushing out under pressure. It is ghastly.
Does PETA not recognize there may be other animals present when hallel slaughter takes place. These animals can see this type of blood gushing if an animal has its throat slit. Oh! the tragedy if an animal was to be subjected to such a sight of blood. Fortunately only a few animals are able to turn on a T.V. and therefore are unlikely to be bothered by Christian; Jewish; or Female Muslim human blood.
Oops! PETA wouldn’t care any way.
    Cheers;

  20. I find it offensive that young children are labelled as muslim (or any other religious grouping), just because of their parents beliefs. No-one should be forced into belonging to a religion until they are old enough to make a rational decision for themselves.
But halal slaughter is more offensive, involving the painful killing of terrorised animals. The suggestion above about “accidentally” dropping bacon into halal meat counters is one I shall adopt.

  21. “But halal slaughter is more offensive, involving the painful killing of terrorised animals.”
Please explain the source of this belief. “More offensive” than what and to whom? Having something to refer to besides your opinion is useful in discussions of this subject.

  22. “I find it offensive that young children are labelled as muslim (or any other religious grouping), just because of their parents [sic] beliefs. No-one should be forced into belonging to a religion until they are old enough to make a rational decision for themselves.”
OK, Ed P, so you’re essentially saying that parents should not expose their kids to any cultural and ideological influences until they’re adults.
    That’ll work.
    Ah, who needs parents anyway?!

  23. I got this (linked at instapundit):
    http://www.the-american-interest.com/blog/2014/03/09/uk-shale-struggles-a-reminder-of-why-america-succeeded/
and this, from recent private correspondence:
“The purpose of my trip was 3-fold…to visit my relatives, to see where my Mom & Dad were married and where my Mom grew up & to give [xyz] some company.
Rain, rain, go away. At least 1″ to 3” of rain per day since the beginning of December. Temperature was between 2C and 5C. Humidity was 90%. It was too windy to use a brollie so you just got soaked. You sweated like a pig because it was so humid. Add to this the cold. Energy is so expensive that nobody heats their houses above 65F, indoor shopping malls aren’t heated. You had to wear an undershirt, a shirt, sweater and coat at all times outside. Hip waders would have been useful. The city of [cse] was high and dry but the fields in the country were at least half flooded. Farmers’ winter grain has been washed away. They usually get into the fields to plant in mid-February, not this year. Cameron said it is the worse crisis to hit the UK since WW2. The “greens” have ensured that drainage canals and rivers have not been dredged (to keep the wildlife happy). There is no capacity to drain the land. The coastal areas of Wales and Somerset have been evacuated. West coast railways have been washed out.
Added to the weather problems is England’s social problems. It seems that everyone looking for a better life in Europe has stopped off in England. Definitely not WASP any more. Half the country is on welfare and the other half doesn’t want to work. In their news, a Polish mother living in London collecting welfare herself was receiving welfare from the UK for her 6 kids still living in Poland.
The country is heading backwards and bankrupt fast.
I got to see all of my cousins, aunts and uncle. My cousin [abc] & his wife [def] will be…when he retires in 2016.
I wanted to go to [ghi] to see where [jkl] was born. But my relatives said that it was too rough of an area to visit and pleaded with me not to go. I didn’t go.
[xyz] lives in a 6 apartment council house. Very nice place but…15 months ago, a man of —— moved in across the hall from her and brought his drug business with him. 3 times per day a delivery van arrives with his drug supplies and takes the proceeds. Between 20 to 35 people per day visit [xyz]’s neighbour. His place has been raided once by the police but they found no drugs (just the accessories). I went with some of [xyz]’s good neighbors to a police/city councilor meeting to discuss the problem. Everything takes time and this guy has his rights. [xyz] is a right mess…”

  24. Right on. The ugliness here is a Religious minority forcing everyone else no matter who. To follow them in food choices while restricting others for Religious reasons.
This is just another domination move by Islam. When have Jews ever forced any school, or group to be Kosher unless Jewish in literally thousands of years of co-existence? Islam though wants us all under its bloody sword?
People who have nothing to do with it forced to eat, cloth or live by a foreign law by a religion that hates humanity.
One which rejoices in the murder of men every day killed for their god of lies & murder.

  25. Not that Brit food is all that exotic and delectable at the best of times, but bangers and mash without the bangers just isn’t cricket old boy.
btw, I cook with kosher salt but still haven’t found kosher ham hocks at the SuperStore. I ask but get no answers…

  26. The ugliness here is a Religious minority forcing everyone else no matter who. To follow them in food choices while restricting others for Religious reasons. This is just another domination move by Islam.
Exactly !! The politically correct socialists that are increasingly dominating our modern society, especially in Europe, are just bending over and taking it.
The muzzies have an insidiously effective way of taking over a community. They first recruit the local thugs because they’re stupid and easy to convert. Then the gang of thugs is used for reprisals against anyone who speaks out against the muzzies creeping domination, like the example cited here. The big cities with ever-growing muzzie ghettos will be the first go and then it will spread like a cancer fueled by their birth rate and the inherent weaknesses in democracy. Small towns and the hinterlands will be the last bastion to muzzie domination, but by then it may be too late. It’s already happening in America’s Rust Belt, will Canada’s Rust Belt in southern Ontario be next?
The Russians and the Chinese hate the muzzies as much as we do; they should be our allies against muzzie world domination.

  27. A major issue, not addressed above, is that fees are being paid to Muslim halal certification agencies.
This helps institutionalize sharia in the West.
Also, a good chunk of the dough ends up in the hands of terrorists and civilizational jihadists who are working to destroy the West from within.
I will not knowingly buy halal.

  28. In the local Superstore halal lamb from Alberta is twice the price of normal lamb imported from New Zealand. Go figure, eh? I don’t buy halal products, but I’m not going to foolishly ‘cut-off-my-nose-to-spite-my-face’ boycotting the store. The store sells a lot of crap I don’t buy, and also stocks good wholesome real food that I do buy. What we buy [or not] ultimately influences the marketplace.
I should get some little stickers printed with the word ‘halal’ and stick them on packages of pork. Would that be malicious?

  29. “check this out if you’ve got time:”
No I don’t… perhaps you can summarize your point in a quick sentence.

  30. “..The ugliness here is a Religious minority forcing everyone else no matter who.”
I think the real ugliness is the majority allowing it to happen. You know, that great mindless mass that is bereft of thought or care about anything except football scores and the latest antics of talentless teenage sluts.

  31. It’s to do with Halal certification in Australia. The people who made it are not big fans of same.
Oh gosh, that was two sentences. Sorry.

  32. “that great mindless mass” deserves what it gets; don’t get caught in the collateral damage.

  33. “Small towns and the hinterlands will be the last bastion to muzzie domination, but by then it may be too late.” – N. of 60.
I live in a ‘small town’ of 85,000 and at the ice rink last night, saw six women in Muslim garb – three wearing the hijab, the other three wearing the full face covering niqab. But at least a couple of them were skating!
Nonetheless, I’ve decided the next time I see someone in the full niqab, whether in a public facility or a grocery store, I’m going to approach them and engage in conversation.
I figure why should I as a born Canadian be the one feeling uncomfortable? As immigrants they should have no discomfort in engaging in conversation with a man who is not a relative. And they might enjoy my warm, friendly attempt at making them feel more welcome.

  34. I’ve decided the next time I see someone in the full niqab, whether in a public facility or a grocery store, I’m going to approach them and engage in conversation.
It will be very interesting to see what sort of reaction you get from their male minders. Those who wear face covering are usually tightly controlled.
The Muslims in our small town are all moderates and don’t wear Halloween costumes out of season. [The gays dress more outlandishly, and are generally shunned for it.] Most women only wear a head cover and I rarely see a hijab. Face coverings would be unacceptable around here. They realize it’s extremely un-Canadain, and not actually required according the Koran. The Muslims and other immigrants here want to integrate into Canadian society and not isolate themselves in ghettos. Self-isolation and trying to be different is what leads to problems.

  35. From the website you recommended:
“Islam is the new communism, that scary foreign thing we are supposed to fear above all else and hand over our liberties and property to the state so that they will protect us against it. The state is once again trying to play up cultural themes in order to tightened its control, and it is working once again.
“This new culture of Islamophobia has emerged gradually over the last 15 or so years, but in recent times it has reached a fevered pitch, to the point that the man on the street can be counted on to quake in fear at the very mention of this great religious tradition. This is mainly due to a predictable historical myopia on the part of citizens (see Orwell) and incredible ignorance about the history and meaning of the Islamic religious tradition and its gigantic contributions to modernity as we understand that term in the West.”
