What will the progressive left do now? With 100% of the Green caucus being American will Canadians accept them? Will the Council of Canadians issue a press release denouncing this as an American invasion?

I’m surprised Lizzie didn’t horn her way in to meet with the environmental phony Big Al Gore when he had his tete-a-tete with Wynne. Lizzie and her new cohort should have no trouble attracting the environmental crackpots from the US.
This will drive Maud Barlowe completely around the bend.
Both are rejects from the US that saw easier pickings over here. With the CBC and Suzuki behind them there was a lot less competition at the pig trough.
These two are not conservative so no problem.
Remember the shoe fits only the right.
What kind of colony are we? Dion was French. Iggy was American. The Creepy pinko Mulcair is French. Both Greens are American. Why don’t we elect some Canadians for a change? Maybe one should have to be a Canadian and nothing else to sit in Parliament. When Mulcair is faced with a Canada/France dilemma, who does he commit treason against?
And turdeau is a
Quebecer first. He said so
Lizzy would probably faint dead away if she ever met her idol up close and personal, better for her to just love him from afar.
Though now Ms.May seems to have a crush on L’il Justin, so maybe she’s dumped Big Al from his position in her heart.
don’t they have to take an oath of allegiance to canada?
He and Lizzie have both been in Canada almost 40 years. There are better reasons for demonizing them than their birth places. He is a former NDPer and left them over his vote to eliminate the Long Gun Registry while she is a former Red Tory senior bureaucrat in Mulroney’s Environment Ministry.
They should be encouraged to keep trying to inflict their f…..g green theology on Canadians as they are instrumental in splitting-up the opposition to Harper’s conservative progressives. If the Left ever united in Canada, it wouldn’t take long to make Obama’s Dystopia look like paradise.
He is not demonizing them for being American, he is mocking the left for being hypocrites.
Good point. The only difference between the NDP and LIberals is the shade of green. I doubt if the Greens will get any more votes because of their size in Cabinet. As the global warming scam continues to unravel I would guess the NDP will swallow up a lot of their supporters, although they will still lose a lot of seats to the shiny pony. I would put money on no green seats after next election and Liberals as official opposition even with their dismal track record. Mulcair has all the personality of a dead fish, where Trudeau has hair and the young gullible vote. Both are too vain to join forces. Greens will be a foot note in history. Just my opinion of course.
The left will just practice its ususal MO.
Moral relativism…….

Don’t overlook the hillarity that will ensue during the next election when the leaders debate takes place.
First Lizzie will demand that she be allowed to participate, with the other opposition leaders rushing to her defence to make themselves look good to the punditry. The media will then catch on to the fact that the party that was continually expected to lend their vote to the liberals, has made it clear they have no intention of playing second fiddle any longer.
After having poached one of his MP’s Thomas will be in no mood to play nice with either Lizzie or Justin.
Expect Harper to stand back and let the three of them go at each other..with Lizzie trying to hump Justin’s leg. Justin will be desperately trying to distance himself from green party policy while still trying to look enviromentally friendly and remember something witty his father once said. Mucliar and Trudeau will be trying to outdo each other as to who is the better Quebecer, in the process looking like they have no affection for the ROC.
The longer that sideshow plays out, the more desperate the pretty pony will be to get his knock out punch his supporters expect him to get. And when he gets desperate, thats when he says something monumentally stupid, such as saying he would eliminate the not withstanding clause.
joseph @ 8:38 You da man!
“Will the Council of Canadians issue a press release denouncing this as an American invasion?”
No.
Joseph:
I was never much for watching electoral debates, but your scenario is so hilarious yet so likely that I’m looking forward to them!
“Lizzie trying to hump Justin’s leg”, indeed.
Heheheheheh…
“”with Lizzie trying to hump Justin’s leg.
I closed my eyes and conjured up that image, and Johnny, you are right!
The guy who has had both legs thoroughly humped and chewed by Lizzie is Brit “prophet”, George Monbiot, who gave his name to a whole sub-species of leftist nutbars. I don’t know if she could ever have another love after him.

“I was never much for watching electoral debates”
Although I wouldn’t put myself in the liv category, I have never been a fan of electoral debates. The next debate will feature an intelligent and classy leader vs a pair of orangutans posing as PM candidates. Hardly great viewing material. However, the liv crowd will tune in the next day for an unbiased and accurate accounting of the debate courtesy of the media.
If Trudeau was to wet his pants on the stage and exit in tears and Mulcair showed up with his pants down around his knees, the media would report the debate as a virtual draw with a slight edge to Trudeau for not saying anything stupid.
You apparently do..
Peterj,
I gotta disagree with your prediction. Shiny Pony will be PM after next election, Conservative will drop to official opposition and NDP will resume their traditional 3rd party position. Green voters will jump to the Libs so you were right about that at least.
I’m kind of sad that Hyer went to The Stupid Side. He was the only NDP who had the guts and good sense to support the abolition of the gun registry – and he stood his ground and took his lumps for it, while all the rest of Taliban Jack’s donkeys followed their Chairman.
Hoping Hyer will have a positive impact on the Green party.
I agree with Lilley calling the left on their hypocrisy, but I have a lot of respect for Hyer for voting to end the gun registry.
“Maybe one should have to be a Canadian and nothing else to sit in Parliament.”
That would have made things complicated for, say, Sir John A. Macdonald.
Seriously though, who the hell cares about the Green Party?
I too admired Hyer for standing up to the anti gun lobby. Pity he cancelled the good will by joining the greens. One granola crunching, foam at the mouth tree hugger in the house is enough.

That’s the best “play-by-play” I’ve heard since Danny and Dick called the Montreal Canadiens games!
Realistically, another Green won’t hurt anyone, except the Left. The world is waking up to the consequences of Green policies, and a lot of people are freezing this Winter because of them.
We just have to keep pounding the drum on Green sophistry and eventually enough grownups will see the light and keep these lunatics at bay.
