  1. As opposed to the liberal position which is, “If she aint good enough for her kin, she aint good enough for me”.

  2. Give Quebec credit, they seem to be the only government in Canada willing to fight back against the Islamist bastards.

  3. I wish ultra-feminists would focus their energies on issues like this instead of setting their hair on fire over the innocuous lyrics of our national anthem.

  4. What about other provinces … Are they just going along with this disgusting cultural abomination?
Quebec is right to pass laws that either force those kind of fools out of the province, or assimilate. We need to pick up the slack and get tough on people who come here and and bring their seventh century stupidity with them.
If we want to experience those barbaric Cultural traditions including the execution of gays for no reason, the beheading of anyone for the slightest infractions and the highlight of all … A child suicide bomber … Ya … Lots to see there … Then go there with your camera, have fun then go for a nice camel ride in the desert.
Unless you get arrested and tortured … Just for being there, you can have friends over to watch the slide show.
When in Canada … Do as the Canadians do …. Or get the hell out! We need to be proud of our traditions and promote them …. Enforce them. … Or why would we bother calling ourselves a county, a nation, a culture…..?

  5. I’d like Justin’s opinion about whether this is “barbaric” or “repugnant”, and what the “root causes” of this might be.

  6. There’s no mention of Muslims or Islam in the link, so we have to assume it was white protestants or you’re racist! 😉

  7. “There’s no mention of Muslims or Islam in the link, so we have to assume it was white protestants or you’re racist!”
White Anglo-Saxon Middle-Aged MALE Protestants to boot.
Everyone knows they’re responsible for all our woes in this country!

  8. So, don morris – what you’re saying is “because Quebec is fighting back against Islamist bastards, they should be given a pass on the virginity test issue? Really? You are way beyond strange.

  9. I take it if the family wants a second opinion the Dr uses two fingers?….or how does that work?
If Dmorris is suggesting that the politically correct crowd in English Canada does everything they can to avoid being critical of Muslim practises then he has a point.x

  10. Yup. Nothing new here.
I saw it on PBS TV. The Islamic world was very advanced and enlightened while Europe wallowed in the dark ages.
Proof indeed that they’ve been in the digital world for centuries.

  11. I notice that the ethnic origin of the families requesting this is omitted in the article.
    Another example of PC.
If it were Christian families it would be included in the headlines

  12. I consider it an unnecessary “medical” procedure, but then OTOH, I’ve never seen an intact hymen outside of a textbook. Seems that no Canadian girls are “marriageable” as even 13 year old girls brought in to me by their mothers so I can swab them for clamydia have just a hymenal ring which is what remains in women for life.
Wonder what happens if a doctor pushes too hard during the examination and tears the hymen? Likely non-Quebec doctors will get mailouts from their local colleges of physicians informing them of the proper way to perform virginity testing. Just curious what the increase in malpractice premiums would be if accidental hymenal tears are a compensatable event. Maybe best to leave this process in the hands of the witch doctors in their home countries.

  13. “Maybe best to leave this process in the hands of the witch doctors in their home countries.” Well said.
What don Morris said. NME666, I think so.
Maybe Justin could look for the root causes.

  14. Feminists have protested in Georgia after reports that a national institute was charging fees to carry out virginity tests ahead of traditional marriages.
The group demonstrated outside the National Forensics Bureau in Tbilisi after a TV channel reported that it was performing up to 200 virginity checks a year.
“When the state encourages discrimination against women and abusive treatment it’s unacceptable. What else is it when a human being has to get a certificate confirming virginity. It means there’s no trust in her, she’s subject to psychological pressure and violence, a victim,” said protester Tata Tsopurashvili, a member of the independent group of Georgian feminists.

  15. It’s not a requirement for those taking correspondence courses administered by the OISE.
    Cheers

  16. What’s next? Government paid Chastity belts?
The rights to own property for Women.
Hell even the bathroom isn’t for Women any more, but tyranny’s.
All coming to you via sharia law.

  17. All joking aside, let’s hear some sympathy for the women forced to undergo said tests. Obviously, some cultures resident in Canada still expect the modern equivalent of bloodied sheets hung from the window of the wedding chamber to ‘prove’ the bride’s purity.

  18. Slam the immigration door shut and send the rest of these camel herders back to wherever they came from. It will never get better but guaranteed to get worse. There is nothing out there that will turn these people into Canadians. We have absolutely nothing in common with those people and I doubt if we ever will. Take a lesson from Europe. Stop the politically correct madness before it’s too late.

  19. Let me ask the question I haven’t seen addressed yet: why exactly is this “unethical”?
I can see that there may be issues of coercion of minors; and of course there is the fact that hymenal rupture is not necessarily proof of sexual activity.
But look, a woman goes in and says, “Doctor, can you tell me whether I have an intact hymen?” And the doctor says Yes, or No. What’s the problem?

  20. Face it, if it is happening in Quebec.
It is happening all across Canada, where ever there are large numbers of imported followers of Mo.
The Muslim Brotherhood and Sharia law.
The step by step Stealth Jihad is proceeding in Canada without so much as a bump in the road to submission.
No government, College of Physicians are objecting and branding this as unethical. Of course not, as under Sharia law it isn’t.
If it was a Christian policy the demonstrations would clog the streets but self-censorship is but another adaptation to Sharia Law.
Most are afraid of either terrorist violence or afraid of being called “racist” or “Islamophobes”.
The first law of organized crime is intimidation, once they have that, they rule.
Oh, and where are the demonstrations of the “moderate” Muslims protesting this policy?
They are mostly in hiding as they know what comes next.
And in Quebec, where are the feminists marches condemning this introduction of Sharia Law in their provincial health care system?
I wonder how the doctors are billing Medicare as a medically necessary procedure.
Or do they accept cash only?
What are 30 pieces of silver going for these days in Canadian currency?
Actually, feminst protests to enact civilian disarmament 20 years ago, will make Sharia Law enforceable across the country within a generation.
EurArabia will then be joined by North Amer-Arabia.
Sheik Obama, may peace be upon him, has promised the future must not belong to those who insult the prophet. Though whether he’s referring to himself or Mo, isn’t quite clear.
Since Sharia is the ultimate in totalitarianism, the police state lobby will love it.
The Canadian Muslim population has doubled since 9/11 and once it’s has doubled again.
Then by bloc voting and ethnic ghettoization, actually colonization, they’ll be able to control a number of federal and provincial constituencies.
The M.B. political allies in the NDP/Liberal parties will adopt Sharia Law as an affirmative action program soon after they gain power.
The Supremes will adopt the veil in solidarity.
This future is only written in pencil, when it is written in blood. It will be too late.

  21. Samson, women are quite capable themselves of checking whether their hymen is intact. Generally imperforate hymens are treated surgically as there’s the minor problem of menstrual blood having to go somewhere.
Yes, I’ve had women come in concerned about some aspect of their vulvar anatomy and am happy to have a look as there can be considerable anxiety associated with something that is really a variant of normal. In the case of a young women being coerced to have a “virginity check”, any physician that participates in such an activity can be charged with assault. There is absolutely no medical indication for performing such a test and I would refuse to do so. In the case of a woman who genuinely wants to know the status of her hymen, I would first ensure that there is a valid medical reason for her wanting to know and why she couldn’t use a finger to check for herself. As soon as someone starts asking for a note on my office letterhead confirming that a woman’s hymen is intact I know this is an area to stay far away from.
One of these days I’m going to see an intact hymen, but there are extremely few valid medical reasons to perform vaginal exams on virginal females. I make very few referrals to pediatric gynecologists as young girls have minimal problems with their genitals. Most women come to my medical attention once they’ve been sexually active for some time and start needing regular paps, etc.

  22. Peterj, thanks for that link which led to some of the most bizarre stuff I’ve read in quite a while. A religion that dictates in minute detail what is proper and what isn’t in the area of xesuality (deliberate misspelling to get through spam filter)is not compatible with Libertarian values. Christianity, or at least the parts of the bible that I’ve read, tends to look at things from a far more cosmic plane rather than this obsessive compulsive nitpicking detail designed to control even the most minute aspects of peoples lives. Now wonder the muslims are still in the 7th century if they have to ask if a perfectly innocent activity is halal or haram.
One way to deal with this backward religion would be to assign any devout muslim an electoral value equal to 1/10 that of a Canadian citizen. In keeping with muslim tradition, the electoral value of a female in a niqab would be 1/20 the value of a non-TROP Canadian citizen. It would be an offense to not declare ones adherence to a 7th century death cult and separate voting would take place for adherents of TROP and Canadian citizens. TROP votes would be given 1/10 or 1/20 the value of a non-TROP voter. If muslims wanted to get a full vote, they could renounce their backwards religion and convert to a non-muslim religion or not choose any religion at all. This conversion would require a public declaration which, given that apostasy is considered a capital crime in TROP, anyone attacking an individual who denounces the muslim religion should be chopped into small pieces and fed to pigs. Similarly, anyone committing taqiya to obtain a full vote would suffer the same fate.
Such an electoral system would neutralize the effects of the primary muslim strategy of utilizing women as bomb carrier factories (or when such units aren’t needed, mindless voters). It would also reward those enlightened enough to cast off a 7th century system of mass psychosis.
Given that the primary role of muslim immigration to western countries is that of conquest, such treatment would make them seek other places to immigrate to. For those who consider these proposals a violation of human rights, I suggest that they go to Saudi Arabia and publicly preach Christianity and then see what happens to them.

  23. Some doctors admitted faking virginity certificates as a harm reduction practice.
They were trying to reduce harm to themselves – not the girls.

  24. And if doctors won’t do it, the communities that want this service will appoint their own service providers, “trained” according to their beliefs. (I’m not saying that’s a reason for doctors to go along, just saying that’s how some people are going to get what they want.)

  25. “…why exactly is this “unethical”?”
Well, there’s this old ethics model called “The book, the bell, and the candle”.
And your statement. “there may be issues of coercion of minors; and of course there is the fact that hymenal rupture is not necessarily proof of sexual activity” is a de facto concession that the issue at hand (okay, poor choice of words) doesn’t do very well on at least two of those ethical tests.

  26. Speaking of barbaric cultural traditions – IMHO there are few difference between religion, culture or tribalism. That a relatively benign examination for an intact hymen causes such consternation (as well it should) perplexes me in that the practice of neonatal circumcision – even the extreme brit periah style – continues. Common thinking was that only poor boys have foreskins.

  27. Kind of surprised SDA doesn’t think this a grand way of keeping our youth pure and clear of social corruption. As long as it isn’t abuse, parents are free to raise their children as they see fit, no matter how strangely. As bad as a virginity test is it’s still better than getting molested by Catholic priests.
Given that the primary role of muslim immigration to western countries is that of conquest,
Lets try to stay connected to the Real World, not fantasy.
For those who consider these proposals a violation of human rights, I suggest that they go to Saudi Arabia and publicly preach Christianity and then see what happens to them.
‘Tu qoque’ is a logical fallacy.

  28. LAS – most things are better than being mollested by a Catholic priest. Is your point that if anything is better than being molested than a Catholic priest then its OK?? What the hell kind of moral equivalency is that?
You sound to me like you can’t wait to vote for Turdeau. Crawl back into your hole.
