Link doesn’t seem to be working.
If only there were substances in the ground that could be extracted and converted into energy. Then we would not need these wind turbines.
2%? Thought McDinky was aiming for 1%. As they say, you deserve the guberment you voted for.(linky no worky)
Ontario is aiming to be the wind farm capital of North America, they’ve planted turbines all over the province and they’re sprouting more. It’s obviously not about energy production, it’s about looking like you are. Money to the Ontario McWynnty government is no concern, they’ve got the province so far in the red they won’t be around to fix the mess, they’ll leave that to future generations.
The cost of energy in Ontario is a major contributing factor to its deindustrialization and jobs dearth – Maybe after the legislature is done blaming McChimpy for 2 billion dollar plant relocation, they can do an honest energy audit and get this province back on track as having the cheapest most abundant hydro anywhere – nawwwww what an I thinking, gotta grab my protests sign and rail against cheap energy – it’s just so trendy these days in Ontarislabovia.
Who needs dense energy sources when you can have dense politicos? I guess that the answer would depend on whether you have a supply of politicos that you can burn to heat your house during a cold winter. (Energy density – how many Watts produced per acre of active disturbance or unit measure of mass of the item to be consumed.)
ecoENERGY Innovation Initative. Since 2011,Ottawa has handed out $268million…sunmedia..wind power
there are over 14,000 dead wind turbines in the US. they are just rotting away and will never generate anything. Ontario will find itself with a similar problem less than 25 years form now.
On the afternoon of Aug. 27, a warm, muggy day across southern Ontario when you know air conditioners were cranked up, the 198 megawatt wind turbine array on Wolfe Island near Kingston was producing — Ta Dah! —- zero electricity. Yet wind energy companies claim to be making money. Obviously not from electricity sales. Must be from picking the pockets of taxpayers.

But it would have been breathtaking in the plunder dept.

Yeah well, Ontario Hydro/Hydro 1 has more problems than just bird blenders.
Nearby a neighbor a few years back expanded his grain dryer setup with a new dryer. 3 phase lines 1 mile away…..just the cost of that mile of upgrade…..It was vastly cheaper to buy a big-ass diesel gen-set.
Over a decade back, when GM/Suzuki set up the CAMI auto-plant in Ingersoll…..they opted for Diesel gen set….3 locomotive engines….one working, one on standby, one on overhaul. Enough surplus to power the town street lighting/stop lights in an emergency….
I refuse to accept a mile of bigger posts,(maybe) and 4 wires rather than 2 costs that much.

They have not planted turbines all over the province.
Every wind farm I’m familiar with has been planted in Conservative ridings only.
Just a coincidence I’m sure.
Liberal ridings don’t have these eyesores.
I agree. How many wind turbines are there along the north shore of Lake Ontario from Niagara
to Kingston? Answer-none.
On second thought there is one in Toronto but it has been inoperable for years.
Sounds like wind power is working as planned.

Yes. Funny how there’s none in Cottage Country, eh? Only on the “unfashionable side” of Georgian Bay. As you say, no coincidence.

Wynne is following in McGuinty’s footsteps and her work is not yet done.

She still has a high approval rating which shows how dense the electorate really is.
