Best Canadian Blog
2004 - 2007
Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Trump The Establishment
Certainly Germany knows a tyrant when they see one.
The condensed version of Obama The Lames speech. “Ich bin ein douchebag!”
This European jest will savour but of shallow wit when it is revealed that they are doing the same thing.
Apart from the cybersnooping too few parents and taxpayers appreciate that the digital learning and personalized learning via ICT are collecting a tremendous amount of motivational and likes and dislikes as it “adapts” to the responses. Think of how useful it will be to have all that data on what drives young people and how they define themselves at an unconscious level.
And then add to that the Big Data flowing from social media now and future politicians and marketers will have a good idea of just how to present themselves to tap deep-seated beliefs.
Too much of what would be controversial if known simply does not get covered apart from blogs precisely to prevent the outcry in time. People talk about Brave New World completely unaware that brother Julian is getting cited now more than in decades.
The picture at the top of the article describes this administration perfectly.
He told the Germans that “our work is not yet done”. I wonder what he meant?

If you read the actual reports being put out on these various initiatives, they say specifically that the sought transformation (that Green Energy, education, and the AGW focus are all a part of) is to be external and internal. External in altering the manmade environment to make cities the focus and mass transit. And internal to change the beliefs and values and literally motivating feelings. That is how ed comes in.
Germany is a big part of that. Read Ulrich Beck’s work on modernity and maximizing the transformation powers of the State.
They told me if I voted for McCain or Romney that foreigners would dislike the U.S. more. They were right.
Now he’s lecturing in Northern Island on how Catholic schools should be eliminated.

Can we anticipate next a trip up North to advise Canadians to ditch the Monarchy?
AGENDA 21
Oops… I accidentally referenced a link from a Powerline piece – worth reading though!
Here is the link to the Scottish Catholic Observer:
“US President undermines Catholic schools after Vatican Prefect praised them”
http://www.sconews.co.uk/news/29253/us-president-undermines-catholic-schools-after-vatican-prefect-praised-them/
Yes, but I have no doubt that the writer of the piece was in spirit, if not in person, in adoring attendance at Dear Leader’s 2008 speech in Berlin. Most people, I fear, still look for a semi-mythical man or woman, astride a metaphorical white horse, to lead them out of the wilderness of their own inadequacy and passivity.
“Certainly Germany knows a tyrant when they see one.”
Do they? Methinks not. They are in the middle of a tyranny right now that would make H1tler blush. It’s called the EU,puppets to the UN.
The author’s notion that the Brussel’s bureaucrats are the answer to American cyber-snooping is ludicrous.
They’ll be the first in line to get the results.
Enforce European law my grandmother. Everyone knows European law is only strictly enforced against people who refuse to pay debts to Frankfurt banksters that they never contracted. If Der Spiegel’s correspondent really thinks anybody in Europe in a position to do anything about it cares more about protecting people’s privacy from Barack Hussein Obama rather than paying top dollar for the names, IP addresses and bank account numbers of their own troublemaking patriots, he’s too good for this world.
We’ll know Europeans are serious about resisting totalitarianism when Angela Merkel is induced, by whatever means necessary, to give the names of the people whom the Stasi disappeared on account of the information she gave them, how many unrepentant Stasi men she’s been protecting ever since, and how many Stasi men managed with Angela’s help to die laughing with contempt at the stupid bourgeoisie—in bed. I hope to live to see that day.
“…Those who thought that we are on the good side and that it is others who are stomping all over human rights are now opening their eyes…”
Opening their eyes? I’ll believe that when I see some concrete action.
“…A regime is ruling in the United States today that acts in totalitarian ways when it comes to its claim to total control. Soft totalitarianism is still totalitarianism…”
And in Canada, the federal and provincial governments work in concert to extinguish property rights; government-sanctioned HRCs dictate what constitutes ‘acceptable’ opinion; and our courts can generally be relied upon to uphold socialist intrusions on the flimsiest of arguments.
He’s turned out to be not as “Liberal” as they hoped.
Germans may know a totalitarian when they see one, but that doesn’t mean they don’t want one running with their Socialist European Union gang.
Obamba’s not totalitarian enough for them, cause he’s letting all those damned right wing gun nuts hold him back.
Yes, the irony of expecting their savior to be the EU would be hilarious if not so depressing. Do they not get it? It isn’t an American thing or a European thing. What we are living through right now is the nascent stage of the global state. The NSA snooping is not in service to American hegemony and imperial ambitions, the American security and military apparatus is merely the tool being used by internationalists to bring about a global technocracy. The EU is doing it too, in direct cooperation with their American counterparts, because knowingly or not they are all working for the same boss.
This is not new either. Countries that are nominally allies routinely spy on each other, and in many cases they do so with the full knowledge of the target as a sly way of supplying information to the target’s own agencies that they are unable to obtain legally. For example the US government has used British intelligence to tap American phones as a way of getting information without a warrant.
Letting this become reduced to a USA vs. Europe thing is exactly what they want. Keep people ignorant and compartmentalized.
Thanks Robin. I am well aware of the transformation he wants to make in the US. Thanks for the book tip.
Knight 99, I think you might be right. He is just not moving fast enough for them. The Europeans are deeply immersed in a soft socialism that was gradually imposed on them by the promise of free stuff.
The Europeans have their own Stasi version of the NSA snooping on them.
Anybody else notice that the little rat faced EU top bureaucrat that Nigel Farage likes to bait was in the group photo of the recent G8 meeting. The Marxist Bourasso was most likely lurking somewhere in the background. The European countries have little left of their independence.
If the Germans are displeased with the US’ spying on them, they will have to start doing something about it themselves, a lesson for all countries. It’s one thing to spy on other nations or even one’s own citizens IF there is cause. Obama’s reasons are not ones a regular person would recognise as justified.
Yeah they do, my mother was born and lived in East Germany long enough to be part of the underground that would smuggle western items in and occasionally people out(including her family at the end). When east germany finally fell, and we got to dig up what was in the STASI files, there was just under 1100 pages, with another 500 that were shredded and still being put together on just her. Awful lot of information on a 18 year old girl.
Furthermore, Germany instituted strict security measures while the Baader-Meinhof gang (the Red Army Faction) was in full activity. They defeated the RAF, killing most of them, and then removed the extra security measures.
The RAF, unlike the clownish Islamists, were very effective, skilled, deadly terrorists; just what one would expect of the German military tradition.
Over 200 years after fighting for freedom from Euro-peon imperialism America is now getting lectured by them about freedom.
