And here I thought it was hot air?

Speaking of ‘shoddy historical statistics’….

Former Vice President Al Gore lamented on Tuesday that scientists “won’t let us yet” link tornadoes to climate change.
Gore alluded to last month’s devastating twister in Moore, Okla., saying that shoddy historical statistics are preventing a connection between “these record-breaking tornadoes and the climate crisis.”

  1. Al is also upset that his Proctologist won’t let him link Diarrhea with Global warming either. To say the word Pitiful does the man too much honor.

  2. Gore’s legacy will be a shoddy historical statistic. And he’s just starting to catch on to that.

  3. I hate to be negative, but in the end,Al Gore will probably be seen to have done more harm to the human race than all the dictators and tyrants of history combined.
I’m not a (very) violent man, but Al is one guy I’d never want to meet….

  4. Gore seems to view science as a branch of politics rather than as a rigorous search for truth.

  5. If I was as fully invested in green technologies as Al Gore, I would complain too. He’s likely worried about where his next $100 mill is coming from. Have those scientists no conscience?

  6. Incredible. He’s basically saying that reality is bad because it won’t conform to his wishes and he’s too…I don’t know what the word is…to realize the problem.

Al is one of many who need to realize that science is not about providing after-the-fact explanations. Rather, it is about making predictions and either conducting experiments to test them or letting nature conduct those experiments.
In addition, those tornadoes aren’t record-breaking, and there is no climate crisis.

  8. A good man is so hard to find. . .

Sayeth Big Al: Part of the problem, the former veep said, is Obama’s climate team — or the lack thereof.
“He does not yet have a team in the White House to help him implement solutions to the climate crisis. He hasn’t staffed up for it,” Gore said, adding, “He’s got one person who hasn’t been given that much authority.”

    King Canute was not available.

  9. I don’t imagine that a scientist of Al Gore’s calibre would allow data to get in the way of theory.

  10. Is “delusional” the word for which you’re looking?
No it’s…worse. “En-bubbled”. Like his mind is just operating on a different track, a whole different interface with reality. Emotional conclusions first, rationalizations afterward.

  11. “Gore seems to view science as a branch of politics rather than as a rigorous search for truth.”
The Environmental movement got there first.
