“When the president does it, that means that it is not illegal”

Townhall;

The Associated Press scandal just keeps getting worse, and we haven’t even started yet. AP CEO Gary Pruitt informed staffers Wednesday that the Department of Justice monitored, not one, not twenty, but “thousands and thousands” of phone calls made by reporters and editors.

  1. Well now, this could by and far be the end of the Obama presidency. Might be enough for all those low-info voters to actually realize they voted in a guy who wanted to be king.

  2. I said after the 2012 election that Romney was the best president the U.S. never had. Now, with all the scandals brewing and election fraud trials in 36 states, things could be overturned! Anything Obama has signed into law should be null and void and since Biden was on the same ticket he should get short shrift as well.

  3. things ain’t going so well for the WON
if Romney had won would most of this have been missed, or dismissed, and the Obumblechuck may have gotten off scot free, now he’s go an ankle weight pulling him down, that ankle weight is called holder

  4. Wow they even refused to come and be told what the administration’s new line is on this story. That’s the most revealing thing here. This might be that moment when the Obama media starts remembering what journalism is.

  5. Obamaians have not bitten the hand that feeds them they have bitten it off.
Consequences will be severe in time and for years to come.

  6. You are dreaming if you think the media/press whatever are going abandon or go after Obama.A little tantrum maybe for optics but otherwise they are all in as they have been since 08.

  7. Exactly which record was the meeting supposed to be “off”? The front page of the morning papers, or the microphone hidden in the centrepiece?

  8. But is it too late for the sycophant media to redeem themselves?
After all their drooling and slobbering over their chosen ones, blind eyes for the criminality of the left and their blatant betrayal of the constitution and ordinary Americans, who is going to have any sympathy for these presstitutes?
The stupid on their part is incredible, politics being about power, by whatever means work, requires a press with a moral backbone.
Just because politicians can do, does not mean they should.
Politicians have no morals, the press exists to counter the greed and stupidity of wanna be leaders by exposing and embarrassing them.
And when the press took sides, they abandoned the American Citizens, who they now need.
    Har Har.Har.

  9. Power creates Paranoia, with hatches monomania. Now we will see if being spied on will make propaganda tools, into Journalists. Will sycophant love turn to jilted hate.
    Tune in next week.

  10. The msm are all about themselves – it is very entertaining to see these fools looking for a donkey to back in the next Kentucky Derby!
Excellent points made by you, John Robertson.

  11. Bingo, they are doing a little optical work and when push comes to shove they will be carrying his leftist ideological water again.

  12. Exactly. If you’ve lost even the NY Times on this one, then, from the bottom of this manure pile, fresh air is as far away for the Obama administration as the top of Mount Everest.

  13. Alright.
At what point will Obama appear before a committee?
These twits in the popular press must have swelled heads, not just simply because of pride.

  14. Ha, the ‘up-Holder’ of the Constitution wants a ‘secret’ meeting with the press when he ‘secretly’ taped all their calls. No doubt an arm twisting session to get some good press.
This guy is about as transparent as the East German Stasi Polizei.
“Vee vant an off ze record meeting und vee vill give you ze ultimate in persuasion techniques, Ja?”
Geez, Holder you’re embarrassing and disgraceful all at once. If your gonna go all “Chicago”; make sure you bring a ‘violin case’, a button down mackinaw, and fedora hat.
Further, the meeting should be at night, raining, and in the pastoral suburbs of Washington, DC; like say GERMANTOWN,MD which at least hosts the US Atomic Energy Commission. Thus if one is going to have ‘nuclear style flameout’ at they will know how to handle it.

  15. You know, a lot of these Lefty reporter types are not the most… shall we say “mainstream” in their habits, recreations and diversions. So if the rank-and-file are suddenly told that Big Brother has been listening to ALL their phone conversations for months and months, that’s a Big Freakin’ Deal for some of them. Who knows what kind of hookups and purchases got arranged during those calls, right?
So maybe there’s some guys holding out on Holder for a better deal. Holder has the goods on them, sure. But the media can unmake Holder and Obama faster than they made ’em. So perhaps a little dance is taking place, a little re-arrangement of the chess pieces.

  16. One has to wonder what they’d tell journalists and news outlets at an “off the record” meeting…

  17. Were I the MSM in the US, I’d be very, very afraid. Nothing like a cornered rat for turning on one in a big way.
