  1. Not to worry, they have plenty of wind power to keep them warm. Ha ha. After all, CO2 is causing all the snow, don’t ya know.

  2. On BBC it says that those that have woodstoves or fireplaces are now burning their furniture to stay warm. Boy oh boy the Global Warming is striking them hard. I wonder if this will remind them of the end of the last Great Warming trend when the Vikings were sailing in their open boats into our high Arctic and England was growing grapes. The cooling trend started, the Vikings pulled out of the Arctic, this was before the time of the present day Inuit, the Inuit incidentally killed off the Thule and Dorset people who preceded them as the Vikings withdrew. The Viking artifacts found in our high Arctic are now in an Ottawa Museum if you want to fact check. http://www.lastwordonnothing.com/2010/07/28/vikings-in-the-canadian-arctic/

  3. This is “WEATHER”, not “climate”.
Of course,if you’re freezing to death because the powers-that-be didn’t provide enough gas or electricity to heat your home, I guess what it’s called doesn’t matter all that much.

  4. I could tell right away it wasn’t Saskatchewan because there’s a tiny little hill.
The brits will react to this like it’s the zombie apocalypse and invasion from Mars all on the same Monday. Snow terrifies them.

  5. Funny that you never hear from Gore/Suzuki/IPCC on Global warming when people and animals are freezing to death. Strange, as they said our concern was only related to warming and they could easily explain it to the world since they know it all. Wasn’t taxing a .038% trace gas supposed to solve this problem ?

  6. Yes survival in the high temperate/artic certainly involves adaptation.
A cursory look at those UK snow pics indicates that unlike here in SW Morontario, they have not adapted their roads for drifting snow….by raising roads and eliminating hedge-rows on road sides.
However, I have had some experience with UK snow conditions….it is generally wet, heavy and not easilly shifted by the same means as our generally dry fluffy stuff…and slippery as hell….somewhat like our late fall storms which creat such chaos.
Actually our current Inuit ARE the Thule culture…which spread extremely fast from Northern Europe eastwards….evidence…they speak the same language right across the circum-polar region.
This link clarifies the differewnces of “arctic small tool culture”, Dorset and Thule….

  7. There are Renault Megane hatchbacks in Saskatchewan?
Seriously how many people have to freeze to death before the global warmists realize they’re wrong?

  8. To think that the stupid AGW believing politicians will now have to spend even more tax dollars, EUs or Pounds, whatever, to rebuild credible and reliable energy sources that they let deteriorate or close.
All because of a giant fraudulent crime.

  9. Is this one of those times they find you come spring ?
Whenever I feel the need for snow in Louisi-Yana I just go to Weather.com and type in Saskatchewan. Did I spell that right ?

  10. in 2008, when I was on a military exercise in Grafenwohr, Germany–a very pissed off Brit officer asked why in heaven’s name we North Americans required SUVs and trucks with 4×4…I hope that motherf#cker’s Prius is stuck in 4′ of snow…or better yet in a ditch. Schadenfreude is sweet…

  11. I have seen snow like that in the UK before. But not since the 1960s.
A whole generation (or two) didn’t know what snow was … must have been global warming!

  12. I recall back in the day, the disection of various battles….the “Battle of the Bulge” comes to mind.
Key to the german plan was inclement weather to frustrate Allied airpower….and despite the misery the cold and snow gave the defenders of Bastogne….and Patton’s “rescue” column….the Whermact had more problems than just fuel shortage…the snow frustrated movement for them as well…if fact the snow/cold made armoured operations extremely difficult….as well as freezing the ***** off the sturmtrupen…weapon malfunctions…
The defenders of Bastogne, despite lack of winter garb, at least had experience with such inclement weather….in a manner similar to the ease with which the Finns defeated the Soviet Ukranian troops in the Battle of Raat Road….

  13. UTTER fools..
Btw, it snowed much like that in East Anglia in winter of 68 & 69, when I was stationed there in the USAF, iirc. And summers were in the US-like mid 90s as well–people were dropping like flies… there ARE NO such things as “summer-weight” suits/clothes (at least not in those days) in GB, lol

  14. Snow, heavy, wet snow, is one reason why Newfoundlanders love their SUVs.
BTW do the Brits now have central heating or not? Anyone know?

  15. I especially liked this comment that explains why global warming will cause snow and cooling.
Im surprised that people assume global warming will give us better weather, we get more cloud which in turn makes things colder and wetter. Unfortunately when we reach saturation point in the clouds, they dump the water wherever the wind has blown them hence floods etc. It is a natural phenomenon not helped by countries like China and America who refuse to do anything to lessen the CO2……i think thats how ti works anyway

  16. Who now thinks that Gaia doesn’t have a sense of humor? I suggest that climate realists now join together with their CAGW supporting brethren to place at least a 50% carbon tax on the price of each ticket from Britain to a warm location. The extra CO2 emitted by the transport of these millions of wimps trying to escape global warming might make it so cold in Britain that the snow will stay all summer. Make sure to let everyone know that the funds raised by this tax will be used to build more windmills and cooling centers for the seniors who are the most affected by global warming. In a matter of such crucial importance to the survival of the planet, we should all work together.

  17. I could tell right away it was the UK, ‘cuz the snow drift is piled on the left side of the road. (DOUBLE whammy!)
