It highlights the fallacy of the old media/left propagated concept of the political spectrum. It demonstrates how most who have been branded “the right” are in fact libertarian in social matters as well as financial ideology. Gone is the old line Tory who is deeply connected to a monopolist cabal and resultant reactionary governance. Most new right, are laissez-faire free marketers and anti-monopoly/oligopoly in favor of reforming government to be more open, responsible and less belligerent. The new right is also distinctly social libertarian – although we do not morally or ethically support some of the more contentious “progressive” social change, we are the first to say people have a right to do as they will as long as that harms no one else – however we are hated by the other side for exercising the same right as they have to freely criticize what we find ethically/civilly/morally/politically offensive.
It is the so called “right” who now champion free markets, free speech, absolute equality and individual freedom. They have, in essence taken the roll of the paleo liberal and much of the old line progressive. It is the left who champion restricting individual freedoms, building monopolies and the new civil injustice in the form of using the state to silence dissent.
Which leaves us to accurately assess who or what we are facing across the culture war battlefield? They are certainly NOT liberal or progressive – unless you consider civil/social hypocrisy “progressive” and reactionary draconian statism to be “liberal”. It is time we defined and labeled the new intolerance and destructive authoritarianism which has taken the place of the old liberal and social democrats – it is in fact some new kind of liberty/equality-hating intolerant statism. We must accurately define this new enemy and make it abundantly clear that they have thrown both liberalism and civil social democracy under the bus.

While the left has clearly lost the money and active aid of useful idiot, it’s clear he still doesn’t actually doubt the worthiness of the various “progressive” causes or plan to do much to oppose them.
For example, I doubt this gentleman would genuinely support the registration of gays even now. That is a pity. Registering and interning known sodomites would have gone a long way towards containing the AIDS plague when it was still possible to do much about it. What actually took place was the greatest drive for recruitment of children for sodomy ever organized by the governments of the civilized world, with the possible exception of state support of “schools” operated by the Church of Rome. (The plain people of Protestant Ontario are not grateful on either count.)
Funny thing about gay marriage, that’s occurred to me in the last little while. Forcing perverts to register and give their names and addresses, the better to shred their passports at Pearson when decent people have had enough of them—it’s no longer necessary. They’re doing it willingly, so cocksure are they (no pun intended) that they’ll never answer to God’s law.

Alternatively, are the American people to believe that the ‘constitutional law professor’ had his fingers crossed when he swore his oath of office, and will simply bypass the states and Congress, and enact legislation by ‘executive regulation’.
Let’s see if we have this straight:
The “Obama-Nation(tm)” wants to take away law abiding American’s guns, notwithstanding the 2nd Amendment, Congress and state legislatures; but reserves the right to extra-judicially kill American citizens with drones.
