I think this calls for a revisiting of the heirarchy of special interests…just spit balling here but would Condi be acceptable if she came out as two spirited? pre-op transgendered? Venetian?
Augusta should have announced that it’s finally decided to stop discriminating against the Cherokee. Then Elizabeth Warren could have been there.
Condi IS wrong for so many reasons. She’s a married black. She doesn’t use “the man” to screw him. She’s relatively good looking. She has a brain and knows how to use it.She was well liked on the world circuit. She is not the 1st Klingon (how dare those white plantation owners not let the TOTUS wife in).And of course, she is a GOPer.
Extremely well played,Augusta.Better than any shot Tiger or Arnie ever made.
This is what The Nation’s Dave Zirin wrote in a column about this incident:
“Condi Rice as a symbol of female power? Only if by power, we mean the power to put thousands of Iraqi women in graves all in the name of a war based on lies that she actively promoted. […]
In a sane world, Rice would be awaiting trial at the Hague. Instead, she gets to play golf at a club that, incidentally, didn’t allow African-Americans until 1990.”
So, it isn’t about allowing women to become members of the Golf Club. It’s about allowing in as members anyone, men or women, who ‘thinks the thoughts’ of the left. That’s what it’s all about.
Hahahaha … I just knew this was going to happen…perfect.
Yes,well played.I’ve always admired that woman.
In the back of their little minds, the left is thinking,’no not her, she’s just a Bush n****r,we wanted a real woman’.

ET and wallyj nail it.
Condi Rice is a great lady and a great choice.
The left is just ticked that Pelosi was not the choice.
I’m simply amazed that publishers of this type of mind numbing drivel have subscribers or are not long ago insolvent.
Like, who can con themselves into thinking reading this philistine PC bigotry gives them peer group status as progressive?
This bigoted identity politics pimping went out with George Wallace, why do the leftist gatekeepers still wallow in this intellectually stagnant guano?
If you don’t fit the narrative, it wouldn’t matter if you could fly and smash an asteroid with your fist.
That’s the left for you.
Occam, I do not call liberals/leftists “progressive” for a reason.
Condi Rice has forgotten more about almost anything than the average left loonie. I hope they remember this slight forever. Well done Condi and well played Augusta.
Osumashi – I take the opposite approach and always call them “progressives”, and then usually proceed to add that their ideas were “progressive” 100 years ago and haven’t changed since. Unspoken is the question of whether the world has changed at all in the last 100 years.
Rice is not a 21st Century Jackie Robinson. True. She didn’t play a kid’s game.
