An Islamic Sharia law court has been established in Antwerp, the second-largest city in Belgium.
The Sharia court is the initiative of a radical Muslim group called Sharia4Belgium. Leaders of the group say the purpose of the court is to create a parallel Islamic legal system in Belgium in order to challenge the state’s authority as enforcer of the civil law protections guaranteed by the Belgian constitution.
The Sharia court, which is located in Antwerp’s Borgerhout district, is “mediating” family law disputes for Muslim immigrants in Belgium.

With seven billion potential immigrants to choose from, why do we select the ones with the highest potential for violence, intimidation, and other incompatible values?
Can we sue our gooberment for failing it’s most basic duty, that of ensuring the safety of it’s current citizens?

I think the article is deceptive. There is no official (governmental) recognition of sharia law. This is simply a place where moslems can go IF THEY DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH CIVIL COURTS. Decisions of the sharia court can’t be enforced by the “authorities”. On the other hand, the “authorities” can not tell someone that they are prohibited from seeking arbitration by a private party. I see nothing to stop a moslem from going to civil court if they want to or if they disagree with the arbitration of a “sharia court”. Don’t misunderstand me, I think that this shadow court is a horrible idea. Rather I’m commenting on the deceptiveness of the article.

I agree with David. The Occupiers set up their own ‘mediation courts’ to deal with internal disputes. So what? They had no official legitimacy or strength.
Same with these Sharia ‘courts’. They have no official standing, no means of legitimate enforcing. They have similarities to Gang Rule, where the gangs make their own laws and enforce them; similarities to Mafia Rule…etc.
The govt has to declare, openly, that there is only one legal system in the nation – and ‘rules’ decided by other bodies are strictly private and unenforceable.

One little problem, everybody knows there’s at least two legal systems. Especially in Europe, but also here in Canada.
There’s “The Law”, which is supposed to be for everybody, and then there’s the “Special Deal”. That’s the law for people with pull and those members of protected groups popular with the regime this week.
Before anybody says “Oh that can’t happen in -Canada-!”, I direct your attention to Caledonia Ontario. Where its been happening since 2006.
Still, Sharia law is going to be a non-starter in Canada, even Ontario. That’s because not -everybody- lives in Toronto, and whatever they may do downtown, us people out in the sticks won’t put up with it out here.
Case in point, the local school had their CHRISTMAS concert yesterday. There were no hijabs in the audience. There was at least one non-Christian brown person. Nobody looked at them funny.
People coming into Canada should be required to show what they can give to improve life in this country. Instead we have people wanting to change Canada to what they say they want to leave behind. Air India and a MP shot in his own driveway in BC. The GTA is also a festering point for trouble. If we keep turning a blind eye to who is coming into Canada and don’t stand up for the country that our forefathers built we will not like where we end up.
The story `Bosnia moving to Sharia` is completely ridiculous it appears to be the desperate words of some Serb leader trying to stir it up.

There is no conflict with Common law either.
I wouldn’t worry about sharia courts in N. America as the US and Canada have an armed population. Europe is in a precarious position having a population that is largely disarmed. All that is necessary to take over a European country is to take out the police apparatus as it appears that European militaries are essentially useless (ie their combat effectiveness in Afghanistan).
The proponents of sharia courts are also working to prevent integration of islamic immigrants into their host countries and are thus creating a state within a state. The sharia court rulings may have no legal standing whatever, but if someone has links only to their immigrant community they wouldn’t have the slightest idea of how to dispute a sharia court ruling. The goal of islamofascists is to keep women ignorant, pregnant and vitamin D deficient.
The other interesting aspect to this picture is the flow of guns from places like Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia into Europe. Most of these guns would go into the hands of islamofascists although anyone with the right amount of cash can probably pick up an AK47 from these sources. Thus, there is likely an increasingly large group of armed islamofascists in Europe that are probably waiting until the right moment to take on the police in various countries. The only armed citizens who would be opposing them would be the few people who own illegal firearms and the miniscule proportion of the public outside of Switzerland who are armed. Notice how none of this islamofascist BS seems to be happening in Switzerland.
The triggering phenomenon may be once there are enough ignorant muslims in a given country or if there is a major financial collapse in Europe. If Europe dissolves in chaos following collapse of the euro, look for islamofascists to be in control of large portions of the former EU. Only Germany might escape this fate as would countries that have a strong tradition of arming the citizenry such as Switzerland. Croatia and Slovenia are intimately familiar with the threat of islamofascism and would likely also be prepared to deal with it properly (Serbia might be too far gone by now).
I’m sorry to be harsh but until the leftist women in North America have their cloths ripped off with a boot on their necks to check for “approved” underwear and the sh*t kicked for non compliance will they understand what it really means to be oppressed.

I remember seeing a Muslim chick on the news a while back telling Canadians that if we deny them Sharia law they’ll practice it under ground in this nation. I wonder how many secret Sharia Law court rooms are in operation in Canada, and how often do they violate the chartered rights of Muslim women and rape and abuse victims? Personally I think Sharia Law courts should be deemed cult training centers and dealt with under the criminal code.
