“Virgin Megastores” in various places have different owners. Branson doesn’t own either the one where the picture was taken or those in the U.S [which are closing anyway]
Is the problem that it’s for sale or that it’s a store recommendation? I can buy the thing in my local {Jewish owned} bookstore. At least it’s not on the best seller shelf, eh?

dizzy – that it’s a store recommendation. I’m not in favour of banning books and I know that Mein Kampf is of great interest to lots of people who don’t hate Jews. I don’t know why I haven’t read it myself. I suspect though that in Qatar the motives for recommending Hitler’s autobiography might be a little on the sinister side, don’t you?
Branson doesn’t own the outlet but he owns the Virgin brand name (I assume) and if he has any principles he will have his company’s logo off that bookshop immediately. Note, it says “VIRGIN RECOMMENDS”, not “HADJI THE ISRAEL-LOATHING MANAGER RECOMMENDS”.
Honestly, why do I have to explain any of this?

BTW, that “best seller” rack is holding DVDs of a famously appalling movie from 2004. Maybe if they made a film out of Mein Kampf…

Black Mamba, I agree with not banning books. Chapters/Indigo/Coles at the order of Heather banning Mein Kampf is why I no longer patronize that chain and patronize family book stores like McNally Robinson. Funny that you can still purchase Das Capital in the Chapters chain.
Both books are equally disgusting.
I did not know there were any virgins left over there. Haven’t they all been spoken for by the vest bomber brigade.

We need to bolster our view that Hitler was a tyrant and Islamofascism is one of the most deadly threats our civilisations faces. When people see this, their first reaction should be revulsion.

I admit to having actually read Mien Kampf back in 94 on a challenge from an older gentleman who had been a hitler youth when he challenged my left wing beliefs, the Chomsky quotes and other hard core leftist propaganda that I was obsorbed in at that time. After about a year of back and forth at our monthly 15 minute get togethers he pointed out everything I believed in and I agreed with all his points and commented to the affect that he understood my beliefs very well. He then gave me a copy of Hitlers book, (American Edition @ 1935) Little sticky notes attached to correspond with everything i believed in our exchanges. I read through it, not all but to understand the context and it shook me up a bit. I didn’t change overnite or anything like that, i continued to justify my left wing dogma and outwardly kept up appearances. September 12th 2001 was when everything changed about the way I look at the world and the moral and intelectual bankruptcy of the left. Do you think there is a university instructor or teacher out there who could have used that book in as an instructive manner as old Rudy did?
