    The Liberals should be happy though. Remember McGuinty’s effort to introduce Sharia in Ontario a few years ago. Only for Muslims of course, initially that is.

  7. The political thinking on the Middle East is clearly wrong. Into the void of every deposed tyrant steps an Islamic govt with full-on sharia and a plan to truly try and destroy Israel. Give Muslims a chance, it seems, and they will vote sharia. == FAIL
    On the question of the lesser/greater evil, it seems the tyrant may be the better choice.

    There were articles on the internet over 6 months ago proving that the ‘rebels’ were al-Qaeda led and that this was a civil war of Islamists against Qaddafi.
    Notice the spot on Mustafa Abdul-Jalil’s head?
    That’s the mark of a proud Islamist who has put his head on the ground 5 times a day every day for a very long time.
    The men who surrounded the warrior prophet Mohammad each bore such a mark and spread Islam by the sword as far as they could until they day they died.

  20. I watched a ctv clip last night that had a young lady screaming her joy about the new “freedom” that Libya is about to experience.
    She is in for a rude awakening if she is thinking the ‘western’ concept of freedom.
    Patrick Basham of the Democracy Institute says that the chances for a liberal democracy in Libya is somewhere between zero and none. He says that the major obstacle is religion.

  28. Out of the more than 42 000 manufacturing facilities outsourced in the past two decades, none were from the industrial military complex. But damnit, without a war somewhere who is going to buy all these weapons ?. Peace is hell on profit. War is good for business and one of the very few businesses made in America with American workers. Basic math. I just wish we could invade someone a little more compatible with our own interests. As soon as we help these Arabs overthrow the despot of the month they want to enshrine Sharia law. Ungratefull bastards. Just no respect for our gay friendly, godless culture. They dont seem to like us no matter how much we meddle in their affairs. We will keep trying. Syria or Iran ? Probably Syria since our Embassador just got the hell out while the getting is good.
