  1. These Grad missiles are not tiny unreliable homemade Kassem’s….They are bigger than the famed Katyushas….but are bigger, longer range developments of the Katyushas.
    Google “Grad Missile”

These are spin stabilised unguided artillery rockets designed to be fired from mobile truck mounted launchers but can be easily laaunched from improvised launchers.
Possibly old Soviet stock but more likely recent Iranian manufacture smuggled in from Eygpt through the now more or less Gaza/Eygptian border.
This is the stuff the “flotillas of peace” intended to open Gaza to…..to supply of these by sea…including the larger Scud….nice folks those flottila people.
While not perfect “Iron Dome” seems to be providing a measure of security. IMHO artillery counter battery and aircraft bombing would be the logical answer but the Israeli’s are currently loath to do that because the launch sites are usually residential and the inevitable civilian casualties.
A blatant double standard, the savages can target civilians (crickets from media) but media/world opinion forbids any Hamas casualties amongst it’s human shields.
During Cast Lead, Gaza University was destroyed and the usual suspect complained bitterly despite ample evidence that Hamas was using it as an ammo dump/rocket factory.

  2. if it isnt on CBCpravda. it isnt happening.
while Harper is up North , or dressed as a Blackfoot (see Heather Malice) or visiting a Sikh temple. CBC is doing 5 days of Jack Layton followed by a two page luvfest with Bob Rae.
CBCpravda, All Left All the Time.

  3. The MSM are too busy not covering Coptic churches being bombed and Copts being killed and attacked in Egypt to cover the latest attacks on Israel?

  4. Time for an Ezra 1 hour special on CBC bias, name the journalists, challenge them to come forward and explain to Canadians why they won’t cover this human tragedy story.

  5. looks like Iran might be looking for a new sub pretty soon…maybe we can sell them the ones crouton bought ? it’s not like we’re getting any use out of them….

  6. Maybe we could send Libby Davies on the next “love boat floatila” to Gaza to invite the population there to Canada. This would relieve the tension somewhat and we could even sweeten the pot with extended health care, housing and old age security.

  7. Another move in the coming war. This time I pray Israel will keep the Sinai.
Giving up land always works for the enemmy not them. Gaza is a good example.

  8. This is not a good sign. Iranian and Israeli warships together.
    What could possibly go wrong?

  9. The big question is if the SHTF in the middle east what will Obozo do? The US response when GWB was POTUS would have been swift and destructive had the Iranians tried anything then. Perhaps the Iranians are counting on non-involvement of the US should the situation escalate. OTOH, I suspect Syria might sit this one out as there are a few domestic problems they’re dealing with.
Anyone know how much US hardware Egypt has now from the days when it was a US ally?
