…Unless it can be attributed to our side. At The Propagandist (worth a regular look) Jonathon Narvey shoots some barrel-fish:
The tanks roll in. The bloody massacre continues.
Meanwhile, Code Pink, Stopwar UK, the Canadian Peace Alliance and their “peace movement” friends have absolutely nothing to say about any of this [original has relevant links].
The reality just doesn’t fit with their perception of the USA, Israel and NATO countries being the cause of all violence and mayhem anywhere in the world…
Meanwhile more reality from Fouad Ajami in the Wall St. Journal:
Syria: Where Massacre Is a Family Tradition

Yep, and it’s interesting how in the midst of the Syrian uprising Obama would suddenly create a fracas about Israel’s “1967 Borders” just before Israel’s 44th anniversary of the Six Day War that created those protective borders, hence providing the Syrians an excuse for storming the border last week and a perfect diversion for the Syrian dictators from massacres such as these.
Just another “coincidence” that Obama would divert attention away from Syria and onto Israel at this particular time?
The “Peace Movement” doesn’t want peace, that’s just the stick they use to bash their ideological foes. Peace is a political construct to them, a tool to further their anti jewish, anti Israel, anti democracy, pro socialist agenda. The Canadian peace movement is just a bunch of narrow minded, hate mongering, pinheaded bigots.
They could care less if hundreds or thousands or tens of thousands die at the hands of the mullahs and other nut job dictators. As long as they can blame the jews, America, the military . . . in their diseased, pathetic minds it is a minor event in their road to socialist nirvana and eventual global governance.
The Canadian Peace movement is simply an enabling association, a group of hate mongering misfits filled with an overwhelming sense of their own importance.
Utterly and total immoral, a great national shame.
Ah yes, the Canadian Peace Alliance….. Basically tools of the KGB back in the late 80s, whether they knew it or not, and many of its constituent peacenik orgs were KGB controlled from much earlier. They are still tools today, in both senses of the world – the epitome of Lenin’s useful idiots. Wouldn’t surprise me if Putin’s puppet-masters still have their hands up the peace movement’s collective a$$.
I am clapping non-stop (Bono style)
The more, the better, the fewer enemies per person it will be one day for us.

I went to a Canadian Peace Alliance event in Winnipeg around 10 years ago. It was held at the University of Winnipeg and was meant to build opposition to American missile defense efforts. After the event I looked up the panel participants online. The panel chair (and event organizer) was none other than Darrell Rankin, leader of the Manitoba Communist Party.
There were not many people at the event, maybe 40 in a 300 seat auditorium. They were students, potheads and professional idiots. The truth is that these people are very tiny fringe minority, and the only reason we hear about their infantile faux-activism so often is because the leftist media is their force multiplier. “Protests” with attendance levels equal to backyard barbecues somehow warrant television coverage and newspaper articles.
Why take a stand against Middle Eastern dictatorships (if at all) when the status quo is much more comfortable?
Peacenik groups exist to attack Republicans, pure and simple. They never say boo unless the American military is fighting and a Republican is president. Learn it, live it, love it.
Besides, the Obama FBI busted a whole bunch of these peacenik types over the winter. Maybe they all got told to STFU in a way they could understand.
I get the distinct inpression that Phantom is more than correct.
Canadian Peace Alliance seems much like the GTA’s now defunct “Black Action Committee” which the media celebrated and the GTA council and constabulary consulted on matters of race…..then it emerged that the “Black Action Committee” was an invention of the illustrious Dudley Laws…not even a committee of 2 but 1.
Or Wendy Cukier’s backyard BBQ like “Coalition……”
Given the depth of the talent pool involved with this “Canadian” contribution to the “flotilla” will this junket succeed in safely crossing that broad stormy expanse of the North Atlantic….?
Thanks for the linkage! The sad part is that we could have written that article anytime in the last two months and it still would have been accurate.
