  9. Hurricane Hazel has taken more than one group of big shots “to school” over the years. Recall once she wanted to have input about the Pearson airport terminal 3 construction and was fobbed off by the developers as they were on federal property therefore outside her jurisdiction. Hazel pointed out that they might not be aware of it at the moment, but (to paraphrase) “someday they might want to connect to municipal sewers and roads”. Eventually they realized no one would go to bat against Hazel on their behalf and therefore they then realized there had just been a “misunderstanding”, etc.
    What is worrisome is that when Hazel leaves one of the Lieberal or NDP multicult politicos eagerly waiting on the sidelines will become mayor and Mississauga will be laid waste financially and become Toronto II.

  10. That warms my heart. I’m afraid I’m a member of the Rick Mercer school. Since I missed freedom 55 by a long shot, I hoping for freedom 85 at least.

  11. Uh-uh. No way will I support Rick “One Ton Challenge” until he pays back the money he recieved for promoting the Gore/Suzuki/Mo Strong enviro scam over the eyes of Canadians via our taxpayer money.
    You forgive him that for sitting down with a real Conservative leader?? All he did was point the camera at her and let Hazel be her self!

  12. This qualifies as humour? mercer is not a real comedian he is a ‘cbc comedian’- cbc funny. If he was any good he would be in NYC or LA. His idea of humour is to get a politico (a guy) to strip naked with his ass to the camera for a cbc moment-very clever and funny beyond words. I guess I missed it but wasn’t he on Letterman or was it Leno right?

  17. I do not like Mercer either and find him a disgrace for promoting that green agenda.
    However, putting a camera in front of Hazel and showcasing her tenure as Mayor is one of the best things he has done in years and years.
    The last time I enjoyed Rick Mercer was when John Crosby had him tied to a chair and force reading from his book. That was hilarious.
    It was all down hill from there for ole Rick in my view. But then, that is the CBC for you.
