Do we have a name for the most recent guy. It’s amazing how many of these nasty incidents do not get picked up by the press. Another recent one was the Fannie May guy who committed suicide (supposedly). If nothing else someone should try to find the motive — even it is it suicide.

RW @ 7:19, the UN has been around for a long time, so I suspect the buildings are pretty old and maybe the windows are the old style that could be opened. Of course any money the UN has goes toward filling pockets of ambassadors, heads of state and the various cronies, anti-Americans and anti-Semites with which they are associated, so I doubt any cash has been sunk into upgrading the windows.
Still, this is pretty fishy, especially since another similar incident has also been reported.

I’ve been to Vienna. Most of the “old” buildings are only six or seven stories high. Only modern buildings, built after WWII (and really, many years after the war; immediately after the war, Vienna was destitute – see the great movie “The Third Man” for evidence) are taller than 10 stories. And, although the building in the picture accompanying the story is not identified as the building where the man fell, it’s pretty clear that it was post-60’s, when sealed windows were the norm for high rise construction.
