The material in the “Greens” website asking young people to reject their parents is similar to that peddled by the Communists(Bolsheviks) in Russia during the 1920s and 30s.

I know this is a tad off topic, but while we’re on the topic of Green, we were recently writing in on the topic of corkscrew bulbs. A Manitoba engineer has made an interesting find. When you replace your conventional bulbs with corkscrews, you also reduce the amount of heat that was generated by the old Edison bulbs. Guess what will happen to your heating bill?? End result?? Little or no savings. Conclusion: You only save during the months that you don’t heat your home, In Winnipeg, that’s three months.

Actually hereabouts and likely everywhere…..kids are not allowed to walk or ride a bike to school. Here(rural) there is an elementary school,(just 1 mile down the road) serviced by school buses, with several houses adjoining the property. The kids from those houses not only MUST ride the bus those few feet but they may not go home for lunch….
This is the #$%^ school board not the stupid kids.
Is it any wonder the kids are examples of arrested development.
BTW they turned that school over to “french immersion” and now bus the same kids 5-10 miles to other schools.

The realization that incandescent bulbs supply heat is not new and is not the astonishing discovery of a Winnipeg engineer.
Most of us struggling against eco-fascism have known this since the begining and have been trying to emphasize this as well as the mercury polluting effects of the CFLs.
If we are forced to replace incandescents in Canada, our heating bills will increase and we will have mercury pollution (causes brain damage) from improperly disposed of CFls.
I think that Mrs Beaver (she was great in the Narnia movies) has been exposing herself (to mercury) for way too long.

The green party currently is a bunch of carpet-baggers in ottawa living off of the vote subsidy. It is a party idea that could grow IF it had a strong fiscally conservative backbone AND a real foreign affairs platform.
Alas it does not and the leeches that run it are not the least interested in actually being in power – being accountable (where’s the fun – the three hour lunches, etc. – in that?). Ads like the F-U one above only marginalize the party even more and thus no other party could be bothered to attack them.
Are they communist or fascists? NO. Communist/ fascist rhetoric appeals to the two most basic of attributes that the youth most often possess: Impatience and the urge to blame someone else for not getting what they want. Real communists/fascists want to actually rule the rest of us, the greens do not possess that attribute.

How does May manage to hold on to the leadership of the Green Party? She can’t even win a federal riding and she and Dion were cooking up deals at the expense of their own party members.
