Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
Doug Saunders of the Globe and Mail:
In a startling flight to the fringes, the European Union’s 490-million citizens sent an amazing range of angry, racist, anti-European, anti-immigrant, separatist, protest and far-right parties and candidates to represent them in Brussels, a ragtag protest vote….
The Scotsman:
(BNP) leader Nick Griffin, newly elected to the European parliament, was pelted with eggs and forced to abandon a press conference.
Shouting “off our streets, Nazi scum”, demonstrators yesterday chased Mr Griffin and party colleague Andrew Brons away from College Green in front of parliament…
Demonstrators — hastily mobilised by text, e-mail and twitter — hammered on the tops of the departing cars with their placards and cheered as they saw the politicians off…

In Canada there is someone chairing the CRTC, Count Konrad Finck von Finckenstein with a family that was involved in the history of the SA and later SS and the Nazi party formation. The stories his parents could have told. The foot soldiers of the Europe nobility.
Europeans are fed up with the rubbish the corrupt eurocrats in Brussels feed them every day — on open borders, immigration, taxes, etc.
Poor deluded Oz. The Conservatives cannot do anything conservative, because then they would not get the majority. If they do get the majority, principle must again be sacrificed; for the next majority.
4. Wah, wah, wah, darn media, socialists, bureaucrats. It was all their fault. Minority means never having to say you’re sorry. Maybe you can articulate the legacy the last 3 years of Conservative governance will leave with the average voter. Carbon tax?
~bud at June 10, 2009 12:22 PM
Let’s look at your claims, bud:
You claim to be a Conservative supporter for 40 years yet you denigrate Conservatives by attempting to launch a meme that the “Cons” are “unprincipled” and would impose a “carbon tax”.
You live in the realm of make believe where the Honorable Member of the Canadian Parliament for Calgary Southwest, Stephen Harper, after preparing his whole life to be a Conservative politician, would commit political suicide by imposing a carbon tax that would not only end his political career, but the careers of every Conservative MP in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
You don’t know, bud, that the Liberal Party of Canada’s electoral machine works to promote and get elected Liberals at the municipal level, which is a practice that the Conservatives should but don’t do, or that Calgary Mayor David Thomas Bronconnier ran in the 1997 Federal election as the Liberal candidate for Calgary West.
You either are not a Conservative at all, and I don’t think you are, or you have the political acumen of a turnip.
I really don’t think there is any more to say.
So Doug Saunders wrote that 490 millions of Europeans are fringe, the remaining few million (?) must be the main stream.
One wanders about the logic though in the mind of socialist and fascists, logic really does not come to play.
Sounds as though Doug Saunders is some kind of moron disguised as a “journalist”.
Since, when things don’t proceed as he has planned then he will call people all kinds of things to make them realize the he is right (left?) and they are wrong.
Doug Saunders does not know much about the world, only what they tell him in the local socialist cell.
Poor deluded Oz. The Conservatives cannot do anything conservative, because then they would not get the majority. If they do get the majority, principle must again be sacrificed; for the next majority.
~Kevin Lafayette at June 10, 2009 3:45 PM
Not my position at all.
Since you’re reading impaired I’ll refer you to ET’s words at June 10, 2009 11:27 AM because she said essentially the same thing.
It boils down to “the Conservatives are doing as much Conservatism as they can in their minority situation” and what they are accomplishing isn’t being reported or the kudos is being stolen by others.
To say, Kevin Lafayette, that “If they do get the majority, principle must again be sacrificed; for the next majority.” is shear Liberal projection and baseless slagging because the CPC is an entirely new party that has never had a majority.
I hope everyone sees how you have attempted to build on bud’s attack on the CPC as “unprincipled” and that they are “Cons”.
Although, I personally am so far to the left, that even the democrats appear to me to be “right-wing,” I consider myself to be a strict constitutionalist. It is my opinion that since its inception there has been an organized and systematic assault by the conservatives in the United States on the civil liberties written into the US Constitution. The “War on Drugs”; “War on Terror”; “War on Communism” and a host of other wars waged by the right wing are really nothing more than a War on People–an excuse to erode civil rights to the point of non-existence.
The BNP is a racist party and I wouldn’t support them because they are socialists.
If racists do not start getting into power now in Europe, the European races will be destroyed. That is a fact that we are all aware of and cannot pretend is not going to happen.
Indigenous people in Europe have two choices, elect racist parties that will do something about the hundreds of millions of aliens who are swamping Europe, (which none of the establishment parties seem prepared to do) or sit back and watch the civilization that they have spent the last thousand years developing, die.
I am a Canadian now, but If I was still English I would hope that I would have the guts to fight the battles that must be fought now so that my children and grand children would not have to grow up in dhimmitude. Those are the options. We all know it. We have to stop worrying about being called racists by all the people who hate us because of our race, and grow a collective spine.
ken lafayette – you said that the Conservatives can’t do anything conservative because then they would not get a majority’.
Essentially, you are admitting that the Canadian electorate – and I gave my analysis of ‘why’ – are not conservative – which is to say, are not individualists, entrepreneurial, risk-takers, small government independents – but are basically used to and dependent on Big Government Looking After them..ie.. Liberalism.
This dependent population is certainly the mode of Old Canada, the centralist dyad of Ontario-Quebec, with its dependents of the Maritimes. But it isn’t the mindset of New Canada, which is the West.
And Old Canada, that centralist bloc of Ontario and Quebec, doesn’t understand or much like New Canada. It is an elitist mindset, who consider that the peasantry ought to be passive and silent and content, with their beer and popcorn, to be ruled by the Wise Men of Ottawa-Montreal (and funded by Toronto).
But Canada, slowly, is changing. Certainly, the Old Guard, exemplified by such as Ignatieff, Rae, Layton, Duceppe..and the Senate..and the Ottawa bureaucracy..are fighting hard to retain their elite roles. But the West is not to be ‘taxed without representation’ (and they certainly are now, with 11 fewer seats than Quebec despite having the same population)..and the Internet and Blogs give power to we ignorant peasants.
You claim to be a Conservative supporter for 40 year~ Oz
Just how much credence should anyone give anything you surmise when you make such silly statements about things you can’t possibly know.
you denigrate Conservatives by attempting to launch a meme ~ Oz
The only meme I’ve attempted to launch is how button-worthy you are.
would commit political suicide by imposing a carbon tax ~ Oz
You do understand what a question mark is used for? How about sarcasm?
Bronconnier ran in the 1997 Federal election as the Liberal candidate for Calgary West~ Oz
Yes I did know that. But sometimes it’s fun to yank the chain of some unprincipled, xenophobic, narrow-minded Westerners who would have us believe that a Liberal wouldn’t dare step into Alberta ; and like Liberals believe that you can’t be a real Canadian unless you are a Liberal, believe that you can’t be a real Conservative unless you are from the West.
you have the political acumen of a turnip~ Oz
Droll but unoriginal.
I really don’t think there is any more to say~Oz
I’m pretty sure there wasn’t anything more to say after I pointed out your fondness and need for aluminum’s precurser in head adornment.
The Tammil supporter Liberal Bob Rae end up on terrorist watch list. Wow, this will be in the news for weeks.
Question, were these countries invaded or were the immigrants allowed into the country by the majority elected parties at the time?
1, 2, 3, 4, Testing, testing.
Re: “Indigenous people in Europe have two choices, elect racist parties that will do something about the hundreds of millions of aliens who are swamping Europe, (which none of the establishment parties seem prepared to do) or sit back and watch the civilization that they have spent the last thousand years developing, die.”
Not necessarily. As I’ve said before, if everyone would accept the fundamental ethical principle of a civilized society, namely that no person has the right to initiate the use of force on any other person, all the unpleasantness can be avoided.
