Even scarier then this, is the fact that in ten years, a whole new generation of Indian radicals will be in charge, literate, yes, but bloated with postcolonial theories of victimhood and hatred, veterans of the internet’s more vile ports, the IndyMedia and Democratic Underground sewers where they hear nothing but approval for their beliefs, never challenged to logically defend their ideas, never asked to show proof, told that all their suffering and misery is the fault of others and the only responsibility they have is not to improve their lives and the lives of their people, but to point out the “threads” that lead to whatever sinister cabal is undermining them that week — whitey, mainstream media, Jews, INAC, etc.
First thing I noticed when I surfed from here over to DMB three years ago was the writing of Rask, one of the few commentators on the Indian Industry that dared to call it as it is.
I truly wish he’d check in once in a while, to let us know if his plan to work within the community for the betterment of Natives has had any success.
He’s made a lot of enemies though, and maybe can’t afford to post anymore lest it reveal his identity to those in the Industry whose toes he’s stepped on.
Or maybe he’s just afraid of Kathy Shaidle.;-)

In today’s Canada you pay a price for freedom every time you post. Good writer . You never know what happens to folks. For all we know this guy could be in Afganistan fighting. God forbid dead in an accident or illness. Heck I had to go offline because it took me a year to buy a new Computer.
We in the ROC never hear anything real coming out of Native communities. Only opinions by the screened, or the same old propaganda. Just like Quebec. I pray this fellow is alright & continues to write. He sure has talent.

The US Supreme Court put an end (~2 weeks ago) to the alphabet Native tribes fronting for gambling Syndicates…

I never feel guilty when my tax money goes towards the ten billion+ dollars a year we spend on natives in this country.
We pay too much, and enough is enough.
Perhaps it is time we let the natives sort out for themselves where they really want to be in this society.
Integrating the natives into our society would be the best, and allow that huge amount of money to be better spent elsewhere
like on our military..
