  3. This is American. This is good. Canadians who conmplain about these regular Joes of life working their arses off to drum up a bit of local business are just snobby do-nothings.

    There is a guy on Dundas street just east of Spadina (Chinatown) that sits in front of his store 10 hours a day beating a drum and chanting “Hello, Come into my store”.
    You make your own luck.
    I’d shop at both places, they’ve earned my business.

  7. I spent a year in the States – met some of the best people ever.
    I love this video – makes me nostalgic for the mix of simple sincerity, and also tongue-in-cheek nature of genuinely nice and fun people.
