There is a guy on Dundas street just east of Spadina (Chinatown) that sits in front of his store 10 hours a day beating a drum and chanting “Hello, Come into my store”.
You make your own luck.
I’d shop at both places, they’ve earned my business.
Obviously segregated south. All the talent is out pickin’ cotton.
I spent a year in the States – met some of the best people ever.
I love this video – makes me nostalgic for the mix of simple sincerity, and also tongue-in-cheek nature of genuinely nice and fun people.
