  4. Why is this coming out now. Will the media etc apologize for demonizing Sarah for telling the truth. I expect many more of this type of picture will be coming out in the next few months.

But you see as long as you say the magic words: “social justice” then it doesn’t matter what sort of murderous, oppressive, Gulag-dotted, state-police-terrorized, impoverished, totalitarian hell you’re trying to create, you just got the lib-left get out of jail free card. You people just don’t understand. And God knows, neither do I.

  9. One day I’m hoping that it will occur to some of you to ask what the Brits did to the Irish over the years, such that they would feel compelled to respond in such an outrageous manner. This sort of stuff usually doesn’t happen in a vacuum and the Brits have a pretty nasty history when it comes to how they dealt with those they were the overlords of…Ireland, Scotland, India, to name a few.

    –No, they won’t apologize for bashing Mrs. Palin. Because they bash those who speak the inconvenient truth about the kings and queens of the Left. Hell, they’re now ignoring Cindy Sheehan ’cause Cindy’s now going after Nasty Pelosi for not pulling out the troops!
    As far as the MSM and the Left as a movement overall are concerned, their false kings and queens can do anything at all and it’ll be ok, whereas any non-Leftist or even any Leftist who attacks a king or queen of the Left will be ignored by the MSM.
    They’ll also ignore blogs that speak the inconvenient truth, such as the one linked to in this post… and such as Ezra Levant’s blog exposing the HRCs.

  11. This is a photo op for Obama. In places like Chicago, New York, Philly and Boston something like this will pull in the votes. Also it’s not that often that you can get that close to a big violent killer and live.

  12. I’m sorry, Edward, but the Irish long ago squandered whatever legitimate right they had in rebelling with thuggery, pointless murder, and the embrace of bloodthirsty political blackmail. I’m not even talking about the recent history of the Troubles – go back to the turn of the century, and the ugly civil war after Britain left the south to its own governance, and Eamon de Valera’s covert support for Nazi submarine warfare. The Irish can’t even treat each other decently half the time, so it’s no surprise that they’d embrace and encourage terrorism, and intimidate and silence anyone who opposes the militant arm of the IRA, who have this amazing tendency to act just like a criminal gang whenever there’s a truce.
    So stuff your moral equivalence. And before you start, my surname is Irish, as is my family on both sides.

    I took another look at the photo op and I’m sure that Rita and Gerry (the violent killers that would do warm to the gentle folk of England) are wearing suicide belts and I think that Gerry is actually mouthing the words “Allah Akbar”.

    I now understand the situation. Obama was talking it up with Adams to get to Bin Laden. Very clever of Obama.
    It is well known in Belfast circles that Gerry and Osama hang out together in some of the local pubs. Don’t tell any Muslims but rumour has it that Obama likes a few pints now and again as they plot mayhem and destruction against the poor and downtrodden English.

  20. There’s a difference between understanding a thing and condoning it. Just because I understand the causes of terrorism doesn’t mean that I condone it or am seeking to justify it. I am well aware that the situation in Ireland has gone way past struggling against oppression and has now for the most part devolved into little more than a petty culture war egged on by religious dogma.
    How many here saw Bloody Sunday?

  24. Edward Teach – well, I’m not really sure where he stands on much, other than taking whatever position it takes to beat his opponent.
    I listened to an excellent BBC documentary about the Clinton years. Robert Reich made the point that the whole goal of the Clinton team was to get elected – and all of his energies were directly solely towards that. When he actually took power, there was a lot of “well, what do we do now?”.
    For this last election, both candidates were engaged in a popularity contest, and the successful candidate is now entering a very trying position, without much in the toolkit or ammunition pouch to back him up.
    It will be interesting to see how much he ages in the next four years. It’s a lousy time to be president, I hope for our southern neighbours (and also our economy) that he is up to the task.

  25. Terrorists are cowards. Never will I, for one, ever consider terrorists to be a legitimate aggrieved party.
    Only those who will risk their own lives, personally, to stop tyranny and oppression, not those who simply murder innocents to scare politicians, will ever be considered as legitimate.
    The “Palestinians”, Al Qaeda, etc., plus the likes of the IRA… they’re just cowards, not principled warriors. They disgust me.
    Terrorism isn’t liberation. Terrorism isn’t resistance. Terrorism isn’t civil war against real oppressors. It is just evil and cowardice by cowardly evildoers who cheat to get what they want.
    And as Obama willingly associates with such evil, cowardly terrorists, what does this, therefore, say about him?
    And a word to the mentally-dormant Leftists: Criticizing a politician for his words and actions isn’t “racist”, otherwise you Leftists are racists for criticizing GW Bush’s words and actions… think about that.

    Seeing as he was SecDef for Bush, can we assume that America, or Bush, is cowardly because he associated with a terrorist or supporter of terrorism? A man who killed tens if not hundreds of thousands of his own people? lol…

    I agree, terrorists are cowards in that they attack civillians, but the article states that the man who is actually wanted for crimes is being sought for killing a soldier…not sure how that makes him a terrorist?

    Irish are “Brits”, as are the Scottish, English and, yes, even the Welsh.
    It was the British Empire, not the English Empire. All the peoples that inhabit the arhepelago known as The British Isles are Britons, by definition.

    Try applying for a job at any company in good old Britain. You have to fill out a questionnaire. They explicitly ask about your race and you have to answer the questions. They explicitly break out Irish White from British White. So you have to say whether you are Irish or not – great isn’t it – you haven’t got a chance from the start. Now apply for a similar job in Ireland – they don’t care where you come from – as long as you can do the job.
