  1. No. Racism is defined as “acts of racial prejudice or discrimination committed by people whose skin colour is white.”

  2. Notice, at the end, he says “Change” in a sad sort of way. Not looking forward to this Dude’s change? Not the way it was meant to be seen.

  3. There is nothing wrong with the message, Obama does represent change … The question “What Kind of change?” no one seems interested in asking.

  4. Laughed my behind off, although the ending was kind of a let down. Has it really been 8 years since the original WAZZUP commercials? Sheesh, time flies.

  5. There has to be a kernel of recognizable truth in a joke to make it truly humorous. So if you believe that Bush lost Iraq, crashed the stock & real estate markets, and is responsible for high prescription drug prices then this is a real knee slapper.
If you hate America the end would be kind of funny. Thirty years after Peter Sellers starred in the movie a real life Chauncey Gardener could soon become President.

  6. You dont have to agree with its pitch to recognize that this would resonate.
Its an effective ad. The guys comment about change isnt said with sadness its said with possibility. This is the equivalent of the guy with the headshake in the con ad in 2006….once again you dont have to agree with it to see that the look the guy gave was probably the most effective indictment of Paul martins government, a look of writing off.
This ad captures a mood, you may not like it but its there….W and his advisors had a plan, effectively an LBO of Iraq to acheive noble ends. It didnt work as fast as they wanted so like the Reichmans and Campeau’s in the early 90’s they find themsleves in the wrong quadrant of the high risk, high reward matrix.
Obama is the likely result for good or ill. McCain has run a bad campaign and Obama is likely only going to get a solid lead at the end, although these “redistributive” comments wont help. There are lots of doubts about Obama, but if he’s elected then we should all wish him well because a weakened and powerless America is a dangerous situation. I dont want to live through a version of “the Carter Years” again.
Obama has run a Reagan like campaign, not saying he is Reagan just saying he has struck the themes of optimism that Reagan and Kennedy and yes even Bill C. struck on the campaign trail….Kennedy died before he could fulfill, Clinton disappointed (but what a party), only reagan actually delivered. We will see which of these, if any Obama (should he be elected) will be.
America has always been fuelled by the future, hope, optimism and boundless horizons. Political leaders who tap into that and deliver on that are successful. We shall see.

  7. I think the video is also implying that Bush is responsible for climate change, no? (all severe weather is a result of climate change, you know) And I guess the “change” will fix that too!

  8. “And I guess the “change” will fix that too!”
I too would like to see how Obama is going to “fix” the hurricane season.

  9. Sen. Obama as US president will bring change, for sure. The Americans have never seen anything like him before. At first I thought he was just another third-world kleptocrat, golden-tongued and greedy for pelf, but he is more than that – more interesting, more intelligent, and more dangerous. He could perhaps be described as a third-world kleptocrat, marinated in extreme left-wing ideology – partly from his father’s influence, partly from his later choice of mentors; broiled or embroiled in Chicago machine politics; convinced by the circumstances of his early childhood that he is a secular Messiah. A Messiah with no interest in self-sacrifice. Napoleon the Corsican in France, Stalin the Georgian in Russia – are the comparisons to make.
Obama has conducted his campaign with energy, skill, and of course ruthlessness. Watching him against the hapless John McCain is like watching a champion fencer against a rank beginner.
I estimate that by the end of his first term the US will have changed irrevocably. And not for the better.

  10. “Change” is all you’re going to have left over after you’ve been cleaned out by this creep and his radical policies.
Spare “change” is what you’re going to be begging for…
That’s what “change” means with this guy.

  11. John Lewis, you could not be futher from the truth. We know what Obama looks like, it’s called Liberal Socialism brought to you thru 40 years of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Programs. He is a product of our own making, and regardless of ACORN, or the Alphabet Channels, or even Hollywood he will not make it to the White House, because We The People will not vote for Liberal Socialism no matter what color it comes in.
Oh yea, and try as they might the Media still can’t poll Obama 50% of the vote, and actually the spread is the same as Kerry and Gores was when they lost, and that hapless McCain guy you talk about just slammed the Messiah as the Re-Distributor.
And, just wait, next week we get to see the Michelle Obama hate America Speech on youtube, that ought to bust it wide open.
    McCain/Palin in 08.

  12. Vote for Obama, my black friends! He will fix EVERYTHING.
Of course, had they gotten Hillary instead, she would have made clean, cheap alternative fuels available, free health care a reality, and turned the world over to the women instead of the blacks.
God have mercy on our souls. 🙂

  13. That was funny… but it also demonstrates the philosophical terror that people like that experience every day.
They see a malevolent universe, one in which they are the helpless victims of anything and everything. This world view pushes them into the waiting arms of the Liberals and Socialists who claim to know all the answers, the remedies for all ills, and promise a safe controlled and controllable universe for them to live in like some pampered mindless sloth.
Similarly the conservative and libertarian ideals, who’s proponents see a benevolent universe able to be shaped by human will and effort, who with their focus on self-reliance and a can-do attitude see work and productive effort not as useless but as a necessity, those people and those ideas terrify them.

  14. and if Obama is elected, CHANGE is all Americans will have left…
keep the change – vote McCain

  15. look, just let me see his birth certificate
    bet it says antichrist
    left wingers spread ’em first:)

  16. WaassuuuuuP!
That is a very funny ad. when you watch it the first time.
I hope the Republicans win but must admit that Bush has left much to be desired and John “Maverick” McCain has been anything but and seems more fit to be president of a senior citizens Glee Club.
Still hoping for a McCain/Palin win over the Obama ticket any day.
