The organizers of the anti-Iran rally near the UN on Monday have decided not to allow Sarah Palin to speak. The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, the direct descendants of the court Jews who opted to protect their seats at court during the Holocaust rather than extend themselves one inch to save European Jewry – and instead actively opposed rescue efforts by other Jewish Americans – are still in the same cowardly, cringing mode. And if you go down the list, they are almost without exception liberal Democrats who support Obama. Little wonder that a Democrat who embraced Suha Arafat is kosher but a powerful Republican ally of Israel, and the next Vice President of the United States, is treif.
Under the circumstances, attending their event on Monday amounts to tacit approval of the Conference’s leftwing bias and congenital timidity. Make your own decision, but I won’t allow myself to be duped that way.

Having read the various articles in that website, I can’t help but think there is an element of truth to the fact that the presence of a vice-presidential candidate at this event would detract from its primary purpose and bring unneccessary coverage and pressure for the organizaers. IMHO they are justified in disinviting her if it cannot be presented as a bi-partisan (read UNITED) demonstration.
Sarah Palin is free to go and stand there with a banner like anyone else if she feels so strongly about the issue. But she probably won’t, because it won’t bring her the same kind of publicity or brownie points as being associated with this protest would. Its not neccessarily principle that guides her, it is the cold hard calculation of what can bring in the votes.
Which, incidentally, is why all these jokers are stirring up images of a ‘jewicidal left’ – not because her presence there will have any significant impact on Ahmednijad (he already knows what she thinks, we all do), but because shes being deprived a chance to score brownie points with Jews.
I expect the American f5th columists in Canada will soon start trumpeting the same line here. How dare the ‘lefty’ Jews deprive Sarah Palin of a chance to score brownie points with them?
In the meantime, I hope to see Sarah Palin standing outside the UN and protesting Ahmednijad like the rest of us ‘small town’ folk, in a show of her true passion and commitment. I wouldn’t, however, bet on it. I doubt anyone else on this board would bet on it either.
As a Jew I can say that like probably any group we have our share (at times I think more than our share) of moonbats and even a percentage of self-hating Jews. I do get more than a little annoyed however when they claim to represent all of us.

The organization can invite or uninvite anyone they choose to, that is their right. Uninviting Palin may be an error in judgement as it paints them with the “leftie” brush.
Palin would be wise to stay clear of the rally,to show that she accepts their right to uninvite her.
Had Palin declined the invitation, I can imagine the outcry from the left. I wonder what would have happened if Hillary had accepted and Sarah declined. Would they have univited Clinton? We will never know.
