It must be a lonely time for the aspiring dictator. According to BBC;
The leader of Colombia’s largest rebel group, the Farc, has died, the military has claimed in a statement.
A national news magazine had earlier reported the death of Manuel “Sureshot” Marulanda on 26 March, citing the defence minister, Juan Manuel Santos.
There has been no confirmation from guerrilla sources. The top rebel commander’s death has been rumoured and disproved several times in the past.
But correspondents say the death would be a big blow to the Farc if confirmed.
Mr Marulanda, whose real name is Pedro Antonio Marin, has led the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or Farc, since its foundation in 1964.
He is thought to be 78 years old and there have been persistent rumours of ill health, including evidence that suggested he had prostate cancer.
And so soon after Castro.

sorry, Castro is very well alive.
I’m sure “Sureshot” Marulanda” will be found dead by state troops and will be said to have died peacefully in his sleep of natural cause…of course a natural cause of death for Junta opponents is a bullet in the head.
Nope, dead.
‘es nailed to his bleedin perch!
1964 I was a lieutenant of the Colombian army in combat aginst “sharpshooter” (Marulanda). For that time he really was an insurgent fighting against the corrupted political government. Today he is (or was?) just the boss of the biggest enterprise of the planet specialized in murdering, terrorism, kidnapping and narcotic’s biz. Maybe “Hugorila” Chavez cries; I feel happy for Colombia and the people (maybe millions) that cry their families and relatives assassinated by order of this bloody boss.
a heart attack in his sleep…
ah well, no time to make ammends with God from his dieing final breath.

Fidel Castro, whether biologically alive or dead, will live on in the hearts of men who value freedom and true democracy!
Cuba: finest medical system in all the world, U.S. 100 million without medicare of any kind.
There, beat the trolls to it!
I am not a fan of Castro, but he is not the monster that some on extreme right wing would like us to believe. Castro was less brutal than Pinochet or Suharto who were supported by USA and admired by right wing people.
I think the Cuban Revolution of 1959 was a necessity but that Castro should had transitioned Cuba toward democracy during the 60s or 70s. He didn’t… same on him..
The american embargo is a SHAME.
Let’s hope that after he dies… the same thing will happen like in spain after Franco died.
you’re quite wrong on every assertion you make….you really should check your facts before you venture opinions as wrongheaded as you’ve have….else the risk of looking rather the fool.
Hey. There’s a first. John beggar actually dis-agreeing with the Frog! Gotta mark that on my calendar!
The abnormality from Q thinks that Castro was just poor misunderstood dear.
It is clear that the socialist/fascist from Q has his head stuck up some socialist a$$ and knows sheet.

Castrosickle. AQS will believe it when he sees him holding a newspaper that says ” I died peacefully in my sleep last night”.
Too bad it wasn’t a 1000 lb LGB…
AQS
If you believe what you wrote you are too stupid to live.
About the dictator Chavez. In his country gas is something like 20 cents per US gallon. Actually, I think it’s less, but don’t want to leave too much room for argument. Also the Venezuelans have an oil company interest in the US which sells heating fuel to poor Americans at discounted prices.
Further to that, neither Castro nor Chavez have invaded a foreign country to my knowledge. Nor have they been responsible for the deaths of many thousands of people. Yet, both are conceived as being the enemy. Still, the United States of America and Canada have been regular customers of Mr. Chavez’s countries oil holdings.
Curious, isn’t it?
